I personally don't listen to that sort of music, but there is a thread called Crispys metal thread which has tons of other bronys posting metal songs and stuff, it's got lots of replies so it's not just you who likes that sort of music

Um...no you're not. There's a whole thread dedicated to heavy metal music, and also there's one that I made that is dedicated to rock music, but you can post heavy metal stuff in there too if you want.

 

Actually, pretty much all the bands you listed would be better suited for the rock music thread I think. The people in the metal thread don't like those bands.

No, you are not. Three Days Grace is one of my favorite bands of all time. I also love Five Finger Death Punch. I'm kind of indifferent to Godsmack, though.

Three Days Grace is THE SHIT though. Never get tired of them.

Some of the ones who could potentially be metal: Bullet for my Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, Black Veil Brides, Motionless in White, and Escape the Fate.

I love most of Avenged Sevenfold's stuff. I like BFMV's first album. I don't care for BVB. I don't really care for the others ones either.

Given the fact that there are millions of bronies, I do not see how this assumption could even be brought to the plane of existence, in thought of course.

 

Heavy metal is one of my favorite genres, though I listen to different kinds of it, such as Symphonic, orchestral, etc. Nightwish, Epica, Mors Principium Est, those are good examples. Fear Factory is another good one, as is Otep, Arch Enemy....others. Yeah, I listen to that type of music quite a bit.

This reminds me, three months ago I would've told you that 85% of what I like is metal, now it's shifted down more towards 65% metal. It's not that my interest in metal is dying, I'm always finding more metal bands to listen to. It's that I found a lot of non-metal music that I like.

Not at all. I used to be a fan of some of those bands you listed - but I don't like any of them anymore. Nowadays I am a fan of certain kinds of melodic death metal, and symphonic metal.

I doubt it. Heavy Metal is a pretty popular genre so you're bound to find other fans. Personally, I can't get into it. It either puts me to sleep or just gives me a headache. And I always thought TDG was Alternative Rock...odd.

Metal covers a wide variety of sub-genres and what you just listed is mostly just the more extreme stuff in the death metal vein. 

 

I like some metal, I mainly lean towards stuff with clean sung vocals(or at least not screeching all the way through) and a clean and crisp sound(although there is exceptions, like some of Demon Hunters stuff) so I have a guilty pleasure for glam/hair metal. Some of it also comes from me finding really extreme lyrical content a turn off(as in gore and overly dark and evil stuff)

I listen to most froms of music. (heavy metal is probably the genre i listen to the most, after post hardcore i think..)

Though it seems like most people don't see the difference between most metal subgenres and emo. (it is really annoying)
