Yeah, but it isn't universal and a fix-everything situation. True, you can use it to somewhat enslave people or shapeshift, but everything has its limits. Even the Princesses, who can't be everywhere and do everything at the same time despite being a god. And Equestria possibly stretches several hundred miles. If you're using magic to solve an apocalypse, it's totally bullshit and Deus Ex Machina. I doubt Celestia, Luna, Starswirl, even Twilight could find a solution for that.
