He was going to complain to him about how much he was clinging onto Grand, but he swallowed that and tried to engage in a different matter. He couldn't make Zeta think he was still into her. He was with Dash now, and it would break her heart to think that he was in love with another mare.

"I would like to say that I'm happy for both you and Grand." He said through gritted teeth. "You won our little challenge and you deserve her."

"Alright, Caramel, I'll meet you at the hospital, I'm going to help Moon there." Starburst said.
"You need any help getting about, Moon, or are you fine on your own?" He asked.

"This is going to be dangerous, I want everypony to be ready. Which means no discouraging conversations, Stephan." Fire said.

Caramel smiled and followed behind. "Let's go see little Sirius then" she said happily, wrapping her scarf and pulling on her winter hat. She opened the door for Moon. "Now let's get going, it's pretty chilly out"

 

Grand walked up to Missy and smiled. "How are you doing? I figured chatting might make the trip go faster"

Zeta smiled, putting one hoof on his shoulder before giving a good man hug to Stephan. "Thanks so much for that, and I appreciate our challenge. At times it made us mad and all, but never did it separate our friendship which is something i'd like to keep forever."

 

Moon nodded. "I can get around on my own, but I would need some guidance or you next to me Starburst. I might cringe up from some pain and fall over, which we don't want that happening~"

When Zeta gave him the man hug, a small part of Stephan died inside. He was surprised that Zeta couldn't really see how he was feeling and try to comfort him. He then heard Fire say something about 'discouraging conversations' that was directed towards him.

"What's THAT suppost to mean, Fire?" He asked.

"I'm doing just fine, though I can't help but worry about Glint, I had that with Starburst, I didn't leave his side for a week." Missy said. "In the end it didn't make me feel better, it just got me a lot of fatigue."

 

"Alright then, just put a hoof around me and I'll be your eyes." Starburst said.

 

"It means, try not to say anything that might cause an argument, your discussions, sometimes end that way." Fire replied.

Moon did just so, debating on which hoof to lift over Starburst before choosing her left one, which had the stitches. She made sure nothing stretched or hurt when she put her arm around him, and began walking to the hospital. "Thank's again Starburst, you are a really good kid. Now, how old were you again?"

"So I can't have a good conversation with anypony? Thanks, Fire. That means a whole lot. You're not exactly a silver tongued stallion yourself." He said, shutting up. If that was the case, Stephan just decided not to talk for the rest of the walk. All he really set his mind on was the cerberus.

"I turned 16 yesterday, my birthday really just went by in a blur and I never got a chance to enjoy it." Starburst tried to stay in silence for the rest of the journey to the hospital.

 

"What I mean is....." Fire began, but then chuckled. "Ignore what I said, I just woke up and I haven't had coffee."

Grand sighed. She tried to ignore the arguing and smiled at Missy. "You shouldn't worry, Glint is in safe hooves, caramel and Starburstare very capable of taking care of her" she said warmly

 

Caramel skipped alongside the two. "I'm glad you're feeling better Moon" she said, grabbing Glint off the floor and carrying her

"M....moon." Glint giggled and almost fell off of Caramel. "Moon!" Caramel clapped her two hooves together.

Starburst couldn't help bit smile at his sister.

 

"I know that, it's just a maternal thing, it's an instinct that's all." Missy said, "So anything new with you, you seem to be getting friendly with Zeta again."

"Well, unfortunately for you, I didn't pack any coffee beans or anything of the sort. We'll just have to go without it." He told Fire. He then turned back to Zeta. "You know how you came back when I died yesterday?" He asked him. "Well, what exactly were you doing outside of Ponyville?"

Moon nodded to Starburst, but ended up kissing his forehead as a symbol of knowing how it feels like to have a birthday like that. "Hey, it's alright. But you should at least remember, you have Caramel with you now..~"

 

Then she heard Caramel next to her, giving a smile at her comment. "Why yes, I do feel better! It's been a day since I got my stitches, but honestly I've learned to walk without it hurting. Tell me, do I look like somepony from Nightmare Night?" But before she could answer, Moon giggled at the sound of Glint trying to pronounce her name. "Wow, she already knows. And I told Caramel that Siri started speaking by around 2 1/2 months old."

Zeta looked back at Stephan and shook his head. "I was out for a little stroll, until I heard something outside the hospital so I watched from a distance. I didn't know you died, actually. Since I thought you were just knocked out or something, but then I saw that Dread thing and knew something was up."

Starburst turned to Caramel, Moon was right, nothing mattered as long as he was with Caramel. He felt a jouois smile on his face.

"It's impressive, truly. But Moon isn't a difficult word to say." He said. "Now Caramel, that is pretty difficult."

 

"Ca." Starburst began.

"C...a..." Glint tried to copy him.

"R...a..." Starburst continued.

"Rrraaa." Glint copied.

"Mel." Starburst finished.

"Ca,,,,,ra,,,,,,Mel." Glint said.

"Well, that was a pretty long stroll. I thought that you were going out to speak with the guard. I mean, you were part of the guard before, weren't you?" He asked. "Also, I don't think we've talked too much about your past wife. What was her name again?" He asked, trying to strike up some type of conversation.

Moon clapped a little for Glint and smirked again, this time planning out something. "Oh yeah? Well what if she said my full name? I was given an Alicorn themed one, so it's long. I hardly ever use it though, since I feel it's unnecessary to say such a long thing every time."

Zeta nodded. "Not exactly the royal guard, but something like that. It's confidential so I cant say, but I can say I was in the Equestrian army as a General." But he paused at the thought of his first wife, losing his smile just shortly after.

"My wife... I, I.. Actually, I cant remember her name sadly. But all I know is that she loved the outside and wanted to own her own exotic flower garden.. AH! Her name, it was Palm Breeze. She loved Palm Trees the best, even if it wasn't exotic more or less but only when we went to the beach would we ever see one. She loved it, and so did I because it made her happy."

Caramel made sure to keep Glint secure. "Yeah, I guess the scar would be pretty awesome for nightmare night" she said, looking at her. "Too bad it's already passed" suddenly Glint said her name and she squeaked with delight. "Oh isn't that just adorable?"

She was shocked at the statement before the one Caramel said last, and got to thinking a bit. "No, Nightmare Night shouldn't have passed yet. I've counted my moons, and I know that it was supposed to happen sometime soon in fact. Did I... Am I off some? Because I could of sworn that it was right.."

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to tread on sensitive topics like that." Missy said. "Yes, let's talk about something else. Like Hearth's Warming is in a couple weeks. You looking forward to that? HEY! You could try and star in the pageant."

 

"I don't know, she can probably only say simple things and Hearth's Warming is coming up. So yeah, you're way off." Starburst said. They then arrived at the hospital. "Maybe I could try and get a scan of her brain or something, maybe it's development is faster than usual due to a defect."

Moon sighed, hoping that she would be able to go out with her daughter that night since she never got to go yet. It felt a little depressing, but she ignored that for now. "She did say Caramel though, pretty well in fact. And don't call it a defect really, not unless it affects Glint's social life."

"Well... Maybe we just forgot nightmare night. Honestly I can't remember what day nightmare night was, it's been so long"caramel said, thinking about it

 

Grand smiled. "I don't know about that, there's so many other ponies who would do it, it would be silly" she said, walking along the snow. "That pageant is one of the largest events of the year"

Steel fell asleep while waiting for siren and lightstreak while he was sleeping a mare snuck over to him and grabbed his stallion hood steel didn't wake up so she began to ((things I shan't describe because it is wired enough as it is if you really want to know just make it up))

"Yeah, though I do plan on doing some research into it." Starburst said. "Now where's Sirius, do you remember her room number?"

 

"Oh no, I just realised, either we missed the Gala, or it wasn't on this year." Missy said. "But anyway, don't sell yourself short, you should at least try and audition, try for me, please...."

Siren walked up casually and looked down at the mare. She put her hoof on her head and pushed her down hard. "My dear, these colts are mine to toy with, I never gave you permission" she said, feeling happy at the fear in the mares eyes. "I'll be seeing you soon dear" she cooed before smashing her head into the ground. "Wake up deary, we have much more to go through"

 

Grand looked at Missy. "Well, I suppose an audition wouldn't hurt, would it?"

"Thank you, It'll be fun for you, maybe they can hold it in Ponyville in the renovated theatre." Missy said. "We'd have to negotiate that with Princess Celestia."

"Caramel, take Glint and Moon to the room, I need to go to the library." Starburst said, running to the library.
