Hey there when I go to try and change my dispay name to Chaotic Pinkie Pie it redirects me to Ponieverse to log in are we unable to change our display names

Yes, the name changing feature is down while the tech guys are working to change over to the new Poniverse login system. Everyone has to sit tight with their usernames for the moment.

Well i'm not totally sure about it, but I assume that in order to change your name you have to confirm your login info or something, and thats why it brings you to login to poniverse.

 

You should be able to change your name though. If not i'd send in a support ticket. https://mlpforums.com/index.php?app=nexus&module=support&section=new

On the settings page it says I can change it 3 times and you were able to before this happened

Actually, I'm pretty sure regular members are able to change their usernames, albeit 3 times every 30 days, as opposed to every 15. I know this for a fact because I've done it myself once and yet I've never donated. I believe I remember somepony saying that is was a bug with the new Poniverse thing, and that it would be fixed eventually.

 

I hope it's fixed soon though, I had some ... plans.

Sky Chaser is correct. Changing usernames requires entering your password which currently automatically redirects you to the Poniverse page. The problem is there for everyone, and is being worked on by our more tech-savvy staff members. They'll bring it back as soon as they can and you'll be able to change your name just as before.
