Ah, I see. For example, I've seen two gender-swappped novelizations of Frozen.

 

In the ending of the movie, Anna punches Hans in the face.

 

But if it were exactly the same, just gender-swapped, Male Anna would be punching Female Hans. A guy hitting a girl. *cringe*

 

So in the novelizations, Female Kristoff punches Female Hans instead.
