Where everybody is afraid to meet each other for fear of being too awkward! I'm confident in my ability to do things I know how to do. Like, if someone gave me a computer to tear apart, never once will "you're gonna mess it up" cross my mind. If I was at a semi formal event, I know I will commit some kind of social faux pas. There was one class I took in community college, and we had an essay at the end of it all. It was a semester long project and she'd given us a sample to use as a kind of guide. We were supposed to research a company and see how they compete against and interact with other companies in the market. We also had to give an analysis on the products or services they deal and conduct an interview with someone in the company. The sample essay was 30 pages. Now we were given the assignment in January. I didn't start working on it until APRIL. I wrote the whole thing in about a week, maybe 10 days. And I churned out about 38 pages with appendices, tables, analyses, interviews and the whole nine yards. It looked like an excerpt from a textbook. I was proud of it. What she had failed to mention ANYWHERE (and what I had failed to call and ask about) was that we only needed to write about 8-10 pages. I had literally written 4-5 times as much as she expected. She gave me a 100% on it and told me it was incredibly well researched. I maintain to this day that she did not read a word of it. She probably would have felt bad failing someone who just wrote 40 pages and just said if it's 40 pages, it's got to be well written. Basically wrote 10,000 words within 48hrs (thankfully had someone to run around and do photocopying and colouring in ( geography ) for me.
