How would you end MLP:FiM

Every good thing must come to an end. Sooner or later, Friendship is Magic will be no exception. And since, I've been seeing some topics like "When will the show end?" and "What'll be the final season?", something popped up in my mind that I'd like to ask you guys.

 

So, here's the situation. MLP has reached its final season and the writers are somehow completely out of ideas on how to end the show. So they decide to reach out to fans of the show to get some ideas for the series finale.

 

So, basically, what I'm asking you guys is this. How would you end Friendship is Magic? Your answer can be serious and heartwarming or just plain stupid. It doesn't really matter to me. I'd just like to see what you would do.

or maybe just princess twilight getting her own kingdom after learning enough about friendship. something like that.

Depends on how some aspects of my headcanon become canon. I mean, depending on how long the show will run, tons of stuff can still happen that will affect all possible endings. So...

 

After all the years of learning how to be a good princess, Twilight will rule over Equestria and Celestia and Luna will end their reign. It was all a preperation to do so. All tests, all adventures, all conflicts Twilight went through; they all happened just for this purpose.

 

I really can't think of more right now, I mean, that would require that I already know what will happen in the future seasons before the last one.

i would introduce a new pony with special powers that would get into the storyline (an evil pony but with a heart) to make it interesting and probably end it with the new one getting befriended and (for fun) maybe stopping a possible ending to equestria with *the new one* and everyone else they befriended through the series doing what they can to get through their "quest" and twilight starting a new kindom. (probably the worst one here XD)

I would think one of the main villains would gather up all of the other surviving ones, and team up to defeat the mane six. They couldn't use the elements of harmony, as there would be too many villains, but Twilight discovers something and they end up actually being sucked into the elements, sort of like how Luna was sucked into the moon.

I would probably end it with the Mane 6's dreams being fulfilled and they have to fight a very powerful enemy. That could be something that makes the show very intense.

I would probably end it with a sad ending, since I like them more than I do for the happy ones.

 

I don't know how, though... Maybe Twilight sacrifices herself to defeat the ultimate villain and make equestria and her friends live in happiness forever. Ye, I know, it's brutal

Well definitely the Mane 6 would all achieve their life long goals.

 

Twilight would finally pass Celestia when it comes to magic. She would probably become ruler of all of Equestria one day but I think they'll start off by just giving her a kingdom.

 

Rarity would become the most famous designer in Equestria, (and probably marry Fancy Pants) I don't know that'd just my mentality.

 

Rainbow Dash would become captain of the Wonderbolts, that's right not just a member. They better make her captain!

 

I'm not sure about the other three. Applejack I guess would actually become the official Rodeo Champion of Equestria as mentioned in The Last Roundup. She would win all blue ribbons. That's really all I can think of for her because the farm is obviously gonna get handed down to her some time in the future, but I want the rodeo thing more

 

The Cakes would probably give Sugarcube Corner to Pinkie one day. Seriously I'm not sure about what her dream would be, she's perfectly happy as she is

I would have a full Fluttershy episode. Just an episode dedacated to her. And as the credits roll, she breaks the forth wall and waves to us. But ha, that's just my ending.

Actually, as long as Celestia is alive, I'll be happy. If they kill her off as I got the impression Faust wanted to do, I'll probably renounce all involvement with the show.

 

Other than that, just tie up all the loose ends and make sure we know what daily life will be like for everyone afterward. Ideally leaving it open for fanfic continuations.

 

I'm really glad Twilight's coronation was done before the end, so we get to see the problems it causes and how they work out.

Well, Twilight did turn her parents into potted plants when her magic went out of control. So having gained full control of her powers now, she can grant Fluttershy's lifelong dream of becoming a tree, and all her animal friends can live in her branches

Nightmare versions of the mane 6. The same black smoke or spirit might of went into Luna and Sombra. That smoke or spirit might grow and go into the mane 6. Then it spreads through Equestria. Celestia, Luna, and Cadance aren't effected though. The heal the Mane 6. They use the elements with the 3 princesses magic as well.

 

Second idea, THE ELEMENTS OF DISHARMONY, Taken over by the nightmare spirit and smoke. And they have to find a way to make disharmony elemnta into harmony ones.

I would end it with every single pony in Equestria being an Alicorn. Also, according to the law in Equestria, tea parties must be held everyday at 6:00 PM. Derpy will be completely removed from the show and so will all other popular background characters in the last season. The ponies will be redrawn to resemble their G3 counterparts. All ponies will have new voice actors with more girly and high pitched voices. All male ponies will be removed from the show as well as all villains. Spike will be made pink to make him more girly. Also, the entire show will revolve tea parties and dressing up.

It will end like this:

 

Two unnamed ponies are getting married in the castle, because the colt is friends with a friend of someone in the royal family, which has Princess Celestia let them have it there.

 

Meanwhile, Queen Chrysalis, with her downgrading queendom, has even more starving Changelings. She, without Equestria knowing, plans to attack using guerrilla warfare, and goes with some specialists. They attack during the wedding, but after injuring both of the princesses, some guards, and the two ponies getting married, the mane 6 intervene and defeat the Changelings.

 

The episode then ends with them running towards the princesses, and with Princess Twilight Sparkle holding the hoof of Princess Celestia, she says "Rule Equestria for me until I come back." Twilight Sparkle then says "I won't disappoint you."

 

The ending credits then roll.

This just gave me an idea: Discord returns once again! He explains that he just played good guy so he can escape and join together with Chrysalis and her Changelings! Together they created the (earlier mentioned, I really like that idea) Anti-Mane-6, the Elements of Disharmony (Come on, it's just perfect for Discord XD). The Elements of Disharmony really are hard enemies, and the Elements of Harmony once again have to prove themselfes in their Elements like in the very first episode, but of course with different challenges. On this way they learn how to stop the Elements of Disharmony, Discord and Chrysalis, and use this knowledge to do just that. And because everypony proves herself even more than in the very first episode, they also get transformed into Alicorns, and together they have enough power to power the Elements of Harmony with a ban spell that banishes Discord and Chrysalis into the moon for 1000 years. Now the Mane 6 rule over Equestria, and 1000 years later, everything starts over with six new ponies...

I actually think that if Magical Mystery Cure had been a two-parter and had better writing, I would have been completely fine with FiM ending right then and there. It's always nice to see more episodes of course, but the ending felt like it really had closure, and the "true, true friend" song pretty much summed up the theme of the entire show.

Just extend this episode so that it doesn't feel as botched, and it would have made an awesome series finale.

I would have them go their separate ways as they go off to pursue their individual goals. Not that their friendship is over, but that they are going to be more distant from one another from now on as they establish lives of their own. Essentially, close the book on these six as a group. There doesn't necessarily need to be one last villain to defeat or an obstacle to overcome.

Well the first thing that comes to mind is a fanfic I read (Is it cheating if I bring up somepony else's idea?) where everypony starts achieving there goals and leaving Ponyville... If I remember correctly, Fluttershy leaves Equestria to start learning about animals that wouldn't be found there
