Without a thought she clung to his neck, shivering with fear. She buried herself into him, afraid that if she let go she would fall again. She took out a large box from the inside and just stared at it, knowing that she would need its contents someday. She just prayed that she wouldn't need it anytime soon. Despite the fact that using the box's contents would honor her mother's memory greatly, she prayed that the need for it would not arise. She could feel her face getting hot, remembering herself literally grabbing Shadow, but she tried to ignore that, instead trying to slow her heartbeat. He caught up and was about to call out but froze, he saw Rain and Shadow holding one another, their faces mere inches from one another. His heart dropped like a stone, he only stared, shocked and heartbroken, still hidden from view. He saw the shadow pony once more and Rain and Shadow soon left for the camp, the sentry came for him, he merely glared at it until it left him. It was beginning to rain now, he could feel the first few drops on his head, but he didn't care... <Ahm alone... Ahm always gonna be alone...> he thought as a wave of tears escaped his eyes.
