As Resh awaited Redstorm's answer, he received a tiny shock by Floater, which then proceeded to show him how the Cloudsdale battle was going.

 

 

 

"Oops, sorry." Derpy-Bot said "I just don't know what went wrong!"

 

 

"Aaaaawwwwwwwwww..."

 

At this, Resh's eye twitched. No wonder. This bugger of a mailmare was cute. Too cute. He silently swore that he would see that bot destroyed before he was sent back to Tartarus. Lacking nothing else to do to hold the position, he decided that holding his forces back no longer was an issue.

((I just got an idea that you are going to hate me for, but proves to be an entirely canon way to get rid of this thing. But not now.))

 

And, with that, four heavily armed and armored Guardian Squads came tumbling out of the Progenitors. As the Derpy-Bot approached, the squad had taken out what appeared to be heavy weapons and proceeded to begin attacking the metal mare. But whatever they had made the bot out of, it proves resistant to the weapons of the Guardian Squads. One squad of them was taken down quickly, while the other ones slowly began to back off from the robot spouting love and cuteness from every part of her metal body, retreating to the range of the large tentacles, that were able to keep the robot from advancing, but no more.

 

Meanwhile, the previous surviving mutants had mindlessly continued past the walls and to the guards on the walls. They strangled about five ponies and sent about three more into a euphoric slumber before being destroyed.

 

Somewhere in Cloudsdale, Christoph got the satisfying feeling that most ponies get when they irritate a greater demon lord, even though he couldn't tell where he got the feeling from.

lightning walked under cloudsdale and got in his balloon, he floated up and through part of the cloud floor of cloudsdale, he cast the cloud walking spell on himself and anchored the balloon to the cloud floor, he walked around cloudsdale looking for soldiers or a base, he found some soldiers and ran up to them "hello are you part of the derpy domain, if so i'm looking for your leader." he said as he tapped on one of their shoulders.

Red didn't know what to do in this situation. Should he join the bad guys and crush his own kind? What if they betray him and take his cave?

"So you want me to join you and kill my own kind, huh?"

He was about to say something more, but a loud noise catched his ear. It was coming from... Cloudscale? Red flew up a little bit, to get a better view. What he saw was cute, scary and funny to watch at the same time.

Redstorm began to laugh.

"Ahahaha... there go your forces... you expect me to join your alliance thingy and kill of the ponies I used to know? That's like making a deal with the devil! Besides, you'll backstab me anyway, I know you demons!" Red exclaimed, though he had never seen or known a demon before.

Turning to his soldiers, he smirked.

"A hundred pegasi to the Cloudscale, now! Help our kind clean up the mess the mutants made! Also, send their leader a message, a peace offering! From this day forward, pegasi shall stick together and soon enough rule the land!"

The soldiers approved of the idea by clapping and yelling.

Red turned back to Resh. The smile on his face was now gone.

"Friendship denied." He said bluntly and flew down on his original spot on the ground.

The soldier who got tapped by Lightning turned around and said: "Oh, hey, you are from the Discordian Demons, right? I know our empires planned to meet today, but actually that's a pretty bad time right now. We're under attack by the Dark Empire, you know... But if you still want to see our leader Christoph right now, he's up there on top of that wall tower, overwatching the situation. It's going okay for us right now, so I guess he might have some time for you..."

Just that moment the soldier realized the surviving mutants made a hole into the wall, sneaking into the Derpy Domain. Good thing he was a pegasus and was up at the tower in no time: "Sir! We have a giant problem!" "You don't say?" Christoph answered "But Derpy-Bot takes care of them!" "No!" the soldier shouted "The mutants are sneaking into our empire! They broke the wall!" "WHAT!?" Christoph shouted and turned around to see the interior of the Derpy Domain, where the mutants killed soldier after soldier! "Oh man, and I just got new hope..." the black pegasus leader said depressed. Soldier Mailman, who was still there, asked: "Why don't we bring Derpy-Bot inside our empire?" "Because we need her outside to prevent even more mutants from getting in!" Christoph answered "We can't spare her for the insides, unless..." In that moment he heard something. It sounded like another army. And it was another army, coming from Redstone! "... yeah, unless THIS happens!" Christoph shouted in excitement "The Winged Arma seems like they want to help us! I don't know why, but we can care about that later. We are saved! Soldiers, to battle! Derpy-Bot..." "Yeah?" "Come in here! You have some mutants to crush!" "Yay, more mutants!" "Let's get this fight started!"

"Typical narrow-minded ponies. You have your pathetic cave and think you can take on the world with it." Resh growled. "Fine. But if you change your mind, don't let me know." He turned away and, before taking off of his cloud fort, grinned and took out a flashing red pill-like shape. "Let me give you a parting present..." He bowled it into the cave, then a metal screen came up to protect him from shots as he returned to his base.

 

Before he had entered a hundred yards of it, it had started moving again- towards Cloudsdale.

 

The device started emitting ominous beeps...

 

((Two posts until activation... hope you can move it or disarm it fast. It will have unpleasant consequences.))

And, suddenly, the forces from the two portals almost doubled in output, disgorging well over one hundred mutants out in a short space of time. However, the force of this outburst of troops caused one of the portals to give out, detonating the entire facility. The other one began to slowly deconstruct, returning into a pony-like form before the glass tube reformed around it and it silently and almost unnoticed, it sank beneath the clouds... but not through them.

lightning started to walk to the tower the guard pointed too, he got to the tower and walked up to the top and stood behind christoph waiting for the right time to talk and maybe kill some mutants, he was looking around the city of cloudsdale well it's not one of it's better days but cloudsdale looks nice, the mutants not so much. he thought as he looked at the dark cloud castle with portals that were spilling more mutants then before.

Red blinked. A mere thought of his home cave getting blown up was too much.

"Stop wasting bullets!" Red yelled to his men that were trying to shoot Resh down. Red jumped up, flew inside the cave, took the bomb and flew back outside, looking for a place to throw it. Finally, he just decided to throw it off a cliff. Another tense second and...

With a large bang, a part of the palisade was gone. Luckily, that was the only damage Red's hideout had received.

"Some of you, fix up that palisade! The rest of you come with me, maybe we'll get a chance to talk to-" Red was cut off as he heard a battle from Cloudscale. Gunshots... and it seemed the robot was back on track again.

"Let's go save our own kind!" The red pegasus yelled, flying infront of the big army. With a terrifying battle cry, The Winged Arma flew towards Cloudscale, to kill the mutants, leaving some soldiers behind to guard the mountain.

The soldiers were already gunning down the enemy from afar, while the inside ones were also putting pressure on the enemy.

Some of the dead ponies and mutants fell down from Cloudscale, towards the ground...

Red was a bit worried about the robot, though. What if it attacked them? Maybe it thought they were the reinforcements from the mutants?

The attacks slowly died away, staining the clouds black with ichor. All that remained was a series of black clouds- and the cloud fortress that was hovering about a mile away from Cloudsdale...

 

The mutants had all been destroyed for a relatively low cost of troops from the Winged Arma and the Derpy Domain. But that was only a small attack, designed to test the defenses. Even now, the demon lord was preparing a much larger assault, but for now, there was peace.

 

Or, rather, there would have been, if another dark presence was not stirring from the northern mountains...

 

((That makes two, two demon lords! MWAHAHAHA... The second will be introduced next post, AKA tomorrow.))

The Solar Empire: Darkblade Steel

 

As he continued working on the obsidian, he heard a large CRACK from the furnace. The sudden loud sound caused him to sctratch one of the blades. He then proceeded to curse himself for a good few minutes before turning around- to reveal the most beautiful sigh he had ever saw.

 

The starmetal... it had split in half due to the heat, and it was glowing. Glowing. it was sparkling blue and green against the fire, and it was beautiful.

 

Darkblade carefully took out the starmetal, obsidian daggers forgotten. "And you shall be the breastplate," he whispered to the ore, ecstatic with joy." Letting it cool, he cleaned up his forge, moved the three daggers of to the side ((silently cursing himself again when he saw the large scar on the dagger)) and took up his hammer and tongs upon the anvil.

 

Soon, the Canterlotonian night was ringing with the sounds of metal on metal...

Swig went over the hill only to find a well, "who the buck would place a water well in the middle of nowhere!?!?!?" Swig sighed and derp eyed, "might as well refill on water" Swig pulled the bucket up and refilled his flask. "go to Equestria they said, it'd be fun they said" Swig mumbled to himself. He placed the flask in his saddlebag and kept making his way towards the mainland.

Christoph, Derpy Domain

 

Thanks to the help of the Winged Arma, the Derpy Domain survived the mutant attack... Even though there was a lot of damage to repair now, but that's also a part of a war. War brings damage. "Alright, everypony!" Christoph shouted down to his soldiers "We seem to have survived the attack... this time. Go to the repairs, who knows when the next attack is coming?"

"Wait!" the Derpy-Bot said "There are still some left!" She pointed at the Winged Arma. She was about to crush them, too, when Christoph shouted: "No, wait Derpy-Bot! They are not mutants! They are soldiers from the Winged Arma! They're friends... for now." "Oh..." Derpy-Bot said "Can I still play with them?" "Uuuuuhhh..." Christoph remembered how she 'played' with the enemy "Soldier Mailman, deactivate her, quick, before she hurts the soldiers!" The soldier pushed the button again, and Derpy-Bot was turned off. Christoph shouted down to his ponyfolk: "Anypony bring the robot back into the secret robot room!"

He then noticed somepony had joined him on the tower. It was Lightning. "Oh, hi!" Christoph greeted "You must be Lightning from the Discordian Demons! I almost forgot about the meeting with your empire. But as you can see, if you seek trouble, we already got enough demons! So, what is all this about?"

Red jumped out of the way as the giant robot was about to crush him. Some of his soldiers carried the wounded soldiers away from where the other ponies were and started to stitch them up. There was moaning to be heard, as the soldiers suffered the pain, still happy they won.

Spitting out some blood that had gathered in his mouth, Red looked around for the leader. It didn't look like he was participating in the battle for some reason.

"That's that..." Red muttered, looking at the damages.

"Workers! Get to repairing!"

About thirdy workers, who were still full from adrenaline that the battle gave them, started repairing the damages, whistling something at the same time.

Meanwhile, Red sat down near the doctors and wrapped a bandage tightly around his wounds on his head and hoof.

As Resh was currently facepalming about his current situation, he received yet another zap from Floater and looked down to find him face to face with...

 

"Ah, Mar'Del. You join us at last."

 

"Indeed. It seems that you are in trouble?"

 

"You could say that. I could just throw a bunch of my chemicals over the base, but that would deplete my supply. I don't exactly think that I want to do that just yet.'

 

"Hmm. You do understand you are facing a two, possibly three way alliance?"
 

"How do you know?"

 

"I actually saw how horrifically you are doing."

 

"Oh... darn."

 

"Well, I say that, first, we keep this from becoming a three-way alliance. Second, we send false emissaries to the Solar Empire, see how long we can delay them."

 

"And I will...?"

 

"Continue your assault on Cloudsdale. Start mustering the troops now so that they do not have to do it."

He certainly did muster the troops. Not only would he be assaulting with masses of drones, he also had several dozen guardians and a command squad, as well as several "instant defenses" as liked to call the unfortunate ponies infected with a germ that made then literally into a defensive structure when activated. He even equiped one squad of the Guardians with a new prototype that would spray their chemicals over a large area. Like a flamethrower, but converting the troops instead of killing them. And without the chance of personal harm. He selected ten of his best Progenitors for the mission, loading him into his launcher. Also- almost out of desperation- he added a command squad. Five mutants. One of them was the leader, was bulky but smart. Two of them were his bodyguards. The other two had rocket launchers with rockets that both exploded with fire or exploded with his chemicals. Add that the a large mob of flying mutants that he would release from the castle, and the fact that he would be supporting them from afar with a giant energy cannon mounted on Floater... even with a three way alliance, they would be hard pressed to keep this large way out of their fort.

 

And if worst came to worst, he would chemical the city and half of his populance would mutate, taking down the last of the defenders. Well... that would work. Probably. Demons were not an exact science.

Jaeger tapped quick on the shoulder "Hey, I'm gonna go grab my drink, meet me in the bar when your ready." he said as he walked over to the bar on the other side of the courtyard. He sat down and got his drink, ponies were muttering about a battle in Cloudsdale, "Great, that will probably be assigned to me." he said coldly

@@ChristophR,  lightning looked a bit shock at what christoph said "if i wanted trouble i wouldn't have come alone, i just want to talk, also no demons in our ranks." he said as he watched the soldiers cart the derpybot away "by the way nice robot." he said as he looked back to christoph.

"Thanks" Christoph answered "It's actually still an unfinished project, even though Soldier Mailman worked a little further on it secretly. But she seems to work pretty well already..." He saw how Derpy-Bot reached her destination back at the secret robot chamber. He then turned back to Lightning: "Enough accomplishing. So, what did you want to talk with me about?"

lightning thought about that for a second "a lot of stuff but one thing is why there are lava pools above ground, i found one on the other side of the forest near my base and decided to explore it." looking to the left "my base is that way, the lava pool is near a small forest." he said

Solar Empire --- Violet

 

"Captain!"-shouted Violet as she left the council-room. "Prepare your troops! We will send help to Cloudsdale! We can not let them to brake through!"-ordered Violet as she headed to the main hall. "Yes, Madam! Immediately!"-answered the captain than ran towards the barrack. Violet entered the main hall which was still full of scared citizens. "Citizens of Canterlot!"-addressed them Violet. "There is no reason to be afraid! Soon our troops will be on their way to help the deffenders and with that joined force we will stop the threat! I would like to ask everypony to return back to their job!"

Redstorm was looking at the soldiers that were wounded. There were some familiar faces in the Cloudscale army. Red was currently chatting with a pony that was his classmate as the Solar Empire army flew towards Cloudscale, their armor shining brightly.

"What the hay do these guys want with us?"

Red grabbed a pair of binoculars and looked through them at the soldiers that were heading their way.

"Weapons... armor? Are these guys taking over Cloudscale, now that it's crippled?"

The binoculars fell on the cloud as Red dashed away with a rifle he had picked up halfway.

"Arma, up on the walls, now!" He yelled, watching his soldiers run up on the wall, pointing their guns at the Solar Empire ones.

"Hooold iiit... fire at my word!"

The Arma stood still, watchinga as the Canterlot warriors got closer and closer...

... and suddenly, ten new pods came down, hammered into Cloudsdale and various parts of it. About three of them hit the town's center, and about three more all around the city. Soon, with each Progenitor up and running, they slowly began to disgorge hundreds of mutants of various sorts. From the flying fortress, vast mobs of winged, tentacled, bat-like creatures herded by demons were guided over the walls. And, finally, a large beam of light streamed out of a fully-steel covered machine that was hovering over it. On it's front, it had a screen which currently had two red eyes and a smiling mouth, and looked innocent. Through the machine sat the greater demon lord, shooting into Cloudsdale which punched through the clouds, creating holes for the mutants to crawl through and disintegrating troops that were touched by it...

 

And, out of the Progenitor furthest from all, the Commander and his Squad came out, the two rocket troops raining a violate mutagen over the walls as he used a mental link to guide his troops on the battlefield...
