How many tabs do you have open in your browser.

Ive noticed closing a window and then reopening it saves some ram, assuming you don’t click on every new tab you just reopened. Restarting your computer works best.

Sometimes a memory upgrade helps, however that said I have a Raspberry Pi setup with 8gb of RAM that allows me to keep multiple tabs open without pushing memory requirements to an extreme. If I'm not mistaken Raspberry Pi OS is a variant of Debian optimized for that hardware.

of these tabs, I declare this one my favourite. It is from a naughty comic so I'll spoiler.

the worst tabs are the outlook tabs. those tabs are not being opened. they contain boredom and/or pain

I could use my Pi computer for general use, if it's not for gaming it'll work. But I'll need to keep the tabs opened to a minimum, 4 or less. I could have more open but if I am going to be using it for music as well, that's not going to be a safe option. But it will be energy efficient.

It's fine for me actually. Mostly because I don't actually click on every single tab on every bootup and just continue from whatever tab I'm on. (I don't hibernate/sleep my PC).

It's a huge mix of everything under the sun, most of it involving research that I completely forgot about. If I actually clicked on every single one then that would definitely push memory usage up the roof.

IIRC Windows takes up a lot of memory in general the more that's readily available, correct me if I'm wrong on that though.

I do need to figure out what's actually important and what's not. Bookmarks, or maybe dedicated spreadsheets for really important stuff whenever I research down a rabbit hole (in LibreOffice).

But really I should be setting up dual booting. Windows for audio work (because all the software I use is very much not guaranteed to work properly at all on Linux, and I paid good money for some of it) and ofc Linux for everything else.

Some other time though.

Anyways...

I "accidentally" got 100 more tabs since then. :pinkiegasp: :pip-err:
