What if an astronomer unicorn found out their solar system is heliocentric? elliptical? follows Newton's law of universal gravitation? Strange how Twilight has a telescope, yet she doesn't notice that. Unless, that is, their solar system is geocentric... I tend to believe that their solar system is a "Tycho" hybrid model or a binary star model (their world somehow has enough "gravity" to equal it with the sun's). Radically, though I believe this less, their solar system IS heliocentric, only they control the rotation and the moon itself. Nightmare Moon's "eternal" night would apply to Equestria only, or a solar eclipse. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT EQUESTRIA IS GEOCENTRIC! Then they return to a monarchy, until the second French Revolution (the 1848 one, which was still bloody, but not as violent as the previous one) occurred, then you get another republic, then another monarchy, until they finally settle down and build an actual republic. Still, he was a relatively crappy dictator and was STILL vengeful even after losing to a good part of Europe, and then goes out again so he can fight in Waterloo. Come on, be fair. We all know Wellington cheated. I think he was a good thing for France in general. Before him it was kind of chaotic, what with the guillotine and all. Revolutionary Paris was bloody, very bloody. All Napoleon did the first time around was direct that great French bloodlust at the rest of Europe rather than at fellow Parisians. And he did a pretty good job, too. Napoleon's failure wasn't his fault. Nobody knew that invading Russia in the winter was a bad idea at that point in history, since nobody had tried it yet. And Napoleon III was alright. He had the foresight to renovate the entire city of Paris, which served the dual purposes of making it the cultural capital of the world for decades and making it nearly impossible for the Parisian mobs to be so incredibly effective at overthrowing governments.
