I support communism but with a labor credits system to still provide "insentives". I don't know where this myth about equal pay came from. Communists have never advacated for equal pay for unequal work. If people got equal pay for unual work then people would be unequal. This is just propaganda that often goes along with the idea that capitalism provides people with equal pay for equal work. If this where the case then how could someone make money by paying money. This means making money by investing, by paying people to make money for them. It means making money by owning means of production, then by owning the means of prodution you own the products made with them by workers and you sell them. This is an exploitative and monopolistic relationship.

Politics is a sort of "Flavor of the month" thing to me. One day I can strongly follow Anarcho-Communism, but the next I may be in favor of free market capitalism.

It makes no sense and that's the way I like it.img-387689-1-5e7kmu.png

I have an honest question... what does that have to do with capitalism being bad? The court system has absolutely nothing to do with the free market. The exact same thing could happen in a communist country.

we were arguing about the freedom in the groups, and that the main argument was that communism is pure slavery, while capitalism was pure freedom

and I think crimes were punished a lot more severely in soviet russia

the idea is that people all get the same amount of money per hour so the highest of the higest earns the same amount an hour to that of a regular worker, that is the part that i agree with

To be honest, I don't know what my exact ideology is, but I know I'm definitely left-wing, because as far as I can see, right-wing politics seems to revolve around making the rich people richer, and leaving the poor people out on the dust. I may be wrong, but who knows.

You are wrong. The media has created this image that anyone on the right hates the poor. And so young people are taught that they have to be liberals, because that's hip and trendy.

The truth is, both parties in the US are two heads of the same beast. You don't think Democrats get just as rich? The politicians create regulations that affect businesses, and they know where to invest their money because they know what business will benefit from government policies. The problem is big government, the solution is less government. Don't think about it as left vs right, even though that's convenient. Think about it as: What is the nature of humanity? What role does government play? Where does government get its authority? How can a group of people be morally justified to force the rest of us to do something we don't want to do? Does government exist to serve people, or the other way around?

I think the Government's there to keep the country in check, and to make sure everyone's playing by the rules and everything's fair. Sometimes that's what they do, and sometimes they just mess everything up (the latter happens all the time in the over here in the UK) Though that said, I'm against absolute control. I think there should be a bit of freedom.

I used to be an extreme right-wing nationalist, to use the lighter sounding term... those were some pretty bad times for me. But luckily, I escaped.

Now, apparently, I'm what you call a social democratic patriot, according to some online political test. Now what the hell is that? Either way, that makes me a patriotic social democrat, so that's what my ideology is, to not go into any detail.

I want a mix of Capitalism and Socialism. Let me explain. I want everybody to have a base pay with which they can afford to live to be provided by the government, but I also want people to be able to use industry to get ahead of the base pay.

I believe that this system would work out well, considering that money doesn't really have worth. If there weren't other countries to exchange with money could literally be worth anything and government funding would be infinite, because there would be nobody to tell them that makes their money worthless.

I believe in capitalism, fiscal responsibility, and free trade. Communism and socialism are fundamentally flawed ideologies that only work in a utopian society. Capitalism has its share of problems, but the system works well enough.

I am a Minarchist Libertarian with a very strong populist streak fueled by my anti establishment views. Government is a necessary evil but that must be constrained to where there is a very limited federal government with very basic and specific power explicitly spelled out (google enumerated powers of the US constitution) with state and local governments having some limited autonomy as was intended by the 10th amendment. As such things like healthcare and social programs are outside of the jurisdiction of the federal government but can be pursued by state and local governments. Libertarianism comes from a simple philosophy called the Non Aggression Principle which opposes the initiation of violence or coercion against others including coercion by the government. This means a strong support for a free market with most libertarians (except for maybe anarcho capitalists) placing some minimal laws to prosecute force and fraud.

I myself take the non aggression principle a step further toward what in my humble opinion is its logical conclusion called the Consistent Life Ethic. The Consistent Life Ethic is the belief that all human life from the womb to the tomb hold an intrinsic value and that it is wrong to initiate force against a human life except in cases of self defense. This mean that not only is abortion and euthanasia wrong but so are pre emptive wars, torture and other human rights abuses and government abuses of power. I even started a thread on the issues a while back.
