Why Is Fleur dis lee more popular than Fancy Pants?

Here is something I never understood. How come Fleur is more popular than fancy although fancy is more well developed and appeared more than her? I mean the only thing we know about her is that she us Fancys mate, heck they might be just friends for all we know. So am I forgetting something important or this fandom just prefers mares?

Maybe she is popular for looking very stunning, I don't know. That is my guess, but they should both have the same popularity in my opinion.

And even amongst the fans the like the stallions more, I'm pretty sure most would pick the fan-made male counter part of rarity, Elusive as he's just as fancy(er) as Fancy Pants.

I'm pretty sure it is because she is a mare. Fancy is a so much more developed character, so I can't think of any other reason. Perhaps is could dat plot that so many people seem to like?

I think she is more popular because lot of people think she is hot and you have to admit if her appearance is any indication Fancy Pants does have good taste in mares.

Because Bronys are turned off by things like a character actually being named on screen, or having lines of dialogue, or having any character development whatsoever.

More interesting design I mean all she is is a taller Rarity with a different cutie mark. Fancy has the same problem that the males of the show have and that's design.  She's just better looking in thus she's more memorable then Fancy is.

Because of 'dem eye-candy appearance and 'dat voice. Let's face it, there's not much you can like her for.

 

We know she's white, with pinkish mane and seems to be quite self-absorbed. But that's all to it when it comes to major things.

 

The fact that she shares Luna's design might be of some influence too, seeing how none other ponies whom are not Princesses seem to share it.

OK, in all seriousness, mares seem to be much more popular overall seeing how it's a female-dominated society. Fancy Pants is no joke, though.

If it makes any difference, I didn't remember that Fleur was even in that episode.  Of course, I've only watched it once.  I will say that I do prefer Fleur's name (Fancy Pants ironically doesn't sound like a fancy name at all), and I find that the design for the female ponies is just more appealing.

Fluer made an interesting impression the short little time she was on screen. We got more development of Fancy Pants over the episode, and flashes of him in other episodes, but Fluer basically disappeared after that initial meeting, leaving behind a mystery. And fans love a mystery.

 

She was presented as purely 'arm candy'. Her body-type quite different from the normal mare, and her constant posing points towards a certain personality. However, she was actually quite nice towards Rarity, and didn't give off any aggressive possessiveness that you would expect from someone draping herself all over Fancy. She wasn't 'claiming' Fancy during that scene, she was using him as a prop while he was talking, seemingly just to aamuse herself. I'd have to watch the episode again, but I don't think she started the extreme posing until after she found out that Rarity was a fashion designer. It's entirely possible she was trying to get *Rarity's* attention, as a good subject or model for showing off Rarity's creations.

I don't know why either her or Fancy Pants would be too popular. Their appearance is so brief that I forgot Fleur even existed until somebody brought them up in conversation.

I wasn't aware that Fleur Dis Lee was more popular than Fancy Pants. Anyway, if she is more popular it's probably because of her design more than anything. She looks a lot like Cadence.

I never knew she was.... truth be told I think he is more popular... ah at the end of the day I have no idea, but I like him more then her.. because he's just cooler I think anyway.

 

He's rick but yet not some kind of a stuck up jerk store.. but why is she loved so much? maybe its because she does not get much time in the spot light? Because we have only seen her once... and that is when Rarity and Fancy Pants meet...
