Soaring Heart flipped her golden mane. Midnight was by far the most romantic time in Equestria. Ponies were snuggling in the moonlight or kissing by the gazebo. Soaring longed for a coltfriend. But she was alone. So Soaring sighed and went to bed.

It has been four years since Guardian Angel has set hoof in his home town. Four years of never ending training. Four years alone, with only his master for someone to communicate with, and that got old quick. Much has changed since the day he left. Seeing as it was around midnight, he could not see new or old faces just yet. he let out a sigh of relief and walked towards his own house. Guardian looked upon it and a single tear of happiness slid his cheek, "I'm home." he said silently to himself.

Soaring awoke with a sudden jolt. I must have had a bad dream. She thought. She got out of bed, nearly stepping on Cancun, her pet dog. Sorry! Soaring went downstairs. Night was so silent, and she loved it. Soaring sighed. "I bet Pinkie's having an all-night party." Soaring chuckled. Although it was midnight, Soaring wasn't tired. Something was keeping her awake. I've got it! I need to find a coltfriend! Soaring rushed outside.

Guardian stepped into his home and flicked on the lights. Nothing but the emptiness greeted him. He let out a sigh. Being alone for so long really gets to you. Its something no pony wants. He put on a determined face and turned around to leave his home, "I need a special somepony." With that in mind, he closed the door to his empty home and set out.

As the night sky was fully set, a purple mare set out on her balcony, looking over the dotted sky and studying any sort of odd patterns with it. "Interesting... Reticulum is out tonight. Along with Vulpeccula, Taurus, Pegasus... Wait. Is that also Hydra? Wow!" The mare exclaimed, pulling out a notebook and a feather pen, scribbling down some notes inside of it. "Can you believe it?! This is possibly the first time in 724 years that the two had been revealed next to each other! I need to get a better look at this!"

 

At that moment, the mare, properly named Stellar had ran out with a few items in tow: A telescope, along with a few large books, and a picnic blanket, running off within the town and heading to a open field.

Ace was walking though the town of Ponyville enjoying the stars above, he would have been asleep but he just got back from the theater. That was a busy day for him, but he enjoyed it all the rest. He smiled to himself, life was good. Except for finding that special somepony, Ace thought to himself.

The train to Ponyville had run a little late in Appleloosa, causing Sunny to arrive in the night. It didn't exactly matter to her for the flickering stars had always seemed to give her an inborn comfort. She didn't carry much except a blanket, her small bit pouch, and a hoof-size bag of her family's famous cider-sugar. A slight smile came upon her face as she tiredly trotted out in the general direction of the school to the south, doing her best to avoid the main town. Only about less than half an hour passed before Sunny finally walked pass the school, looking around for somewhere to lie down. It wasn't long before she found an adequate tree, not too big but large enough to support her leaning against it. Best be gettin' some sleep Sunny. There's a big day waitin' for ya tomorrow. With a quick tug at her large blanket, the mare laid it upon the grass directly next to the tree. After yawning, Sunny slowly crept upon it and laid down exhaustively, wrapping herself up in a cocoon with the blanket. She gratefully hummed as she snuggled up deeper into the cloth glancing upon the stars that twinkled in her eyes..

Solar Nova trotted through the streets of ponyville and let the sounds of the night wash over him. Over the last few years he was perfectly happy being single and didn't see the need for a partner. But now, at midnight, as he thought about it, he realized that he was lonely. He sighed. He sat down in the middle of a field and began to hum. He tried to sleep, but he just couldn't. He began to strum his guitar to the tuneless sound of the hum.

Ace was enjoying his walk though Ponyville, this city was better then Canterlot in everyway. Sure, Canterlot was where Ace was born but I guess he enjoys the small town over big ones. He got out of his thoughts as a mare ran past him heading to a open field, Ace was taken aback some, not noticing the items she was carrying. "E-excuse me."

After Guardian left his house a little too fast. He realized that finding somepony at night was a little quick thinking. The rush that he got from thinking about it made any feeling of sleep wash away. Sighing, he decided to go to the park and watch the starry sky, something he always did while he was away. Just the way the stars glistened gave him a feeling that he was never truly alone in the world. Somewhere out there, there is the mare of his dreams. Guardian reached the park sooner than he thought. He found a nice place by the pond and laid down on his back to watch the night sky. Before long, the peaceful push and pull of the pond water, combined with the small breeze that washed over his body and the perfect stars above gently lulled him to a peaceful dream like daze.

Shivty headed into Ponyville after a long walk from Canterlot. Shivty always likes walking more then taking the train, cause it cost less bits. As she made her way through the town she couldn't help but thing of back home where she's from and she starts to feel a little homesick. She looks for a place to rest after the long walk and finds a tree but she sees someone it already sleeping under it. Thinking she wouldn't mind  she unrolls a role out mat and lies on it on the other side of the tree and falls sleep right away.

And still the hum continued. it was an etheral sound that didn't have direction or tune. Nova continued to strum to the sound of the lonely etheral hum. And he thought to himself "Sweet celestia I'm lonely". His thoughts turned to meeting that one special pony.

Stellar nearly tackled down somepony as she galloped through the streets, turning back to him while skidding to a stop. "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! You're gonna make me miss this new discovery!" She complained about, having a rude and inconsiderate expression on her face.

Ace was slightly taken aback by her rude response, but only for a second. "I was wondering why you were such in a hurry, I mean you did almost knock me down." Ace said, 'usllaly it's me that nearly knocks ponies over.' Ace though to himself. He then saw the telescope and it dawned on him. "Oh, your star gazing aren't you?" He then looked up, "I don't see what the big deal is."

Guardian was snapped out of his daze when he saw a shooting star streak across the night sky. He remembered that if one wishes upon a star, their wish may come true. He really does not believe in such myths, but he was growing desperate. He closed his eyes and concentrated hard. "Please, let me find my special somepony. I have been alone for far too long." he silently whispered to himself. The wish seems selfish, but being one who is not all too uncommon with the feeling of loneliness, was desperate.

Sunny found it strange that anypony would be outside at that time of night...and even more strange that the pony in question put out a mat and rested near her. She was happy to have the company but thought it wrong for her not to say anything to her newly found bunk buddy, "Howdy friend," Sunny said softly, hoping not to startle the mare, "Figured on settin up here to huh? heh, I thought it was an awfully nice spot too." She smiled kindly to show that she meant no harm as she spoke, "The name's Sunny Caramel of Appleloosa." The mare would have reached out for a hoofshake but being that they were both laying down, she disregarded the habit.

And this, of course, is RARE. I need to study it more to observe and YOU are distracting me from FULFILLING THAT! Now tell me where you can't see the big deal..."

It was a good thing that Shivty wasn't woken up or she would have been said some really mean things the the nice mare. Bayonet opens her eyes and adjust her glasses. Her vision was a little blurry but she could see she was next to a pretty mare. "Oh, hello. I'm Bayonet, I'm from Germaneigh." She gives a smile. "Nice to meet you."

Don't see the BIG DEAL?!" Stellar cried out, getting closer to the stallion with a nasty glare shot at him, and a scornful tone escaping her throat. "This is the first time in 724 years that Hydra and Taurus have been shown right next to each other. And this, of course, is RARE. I need to study it more to observe and YOU are distracting me from FULFILLING THAT! Now tell me where you can't see the big deal..."

Ace took a couple steps back at her sudden outburst, sure it is rare but it just soared over his head. He gently pushed her back, "Well alright there's no need to shout, I'm not really interested in the constellations. Why don't I join you? I kinda want to see what's so important about these stars."

Nova got up and put his guitar away after a bit of thinking on his situation. He knew that there was someone for him out there, but he didn't know who. He then realized that, for the last hour or so, he had been perfectly still (If you read Nova's character description you'd know that this is abnormal because Nova is a complete spaz). He firmly attached his guitar to his back and decided to take a walk through ponyville. Maybe he'd be able to sort out his thoughts. "Or maybe even find that somepony" he thought.

Soaring decided to go to the park. It was a great place to stargaze. 'Maybe there will be some good spots.' She thought. Soaring then scoffed. 'The couples probably have them!' Soaring quickened her pace, moving closer to her destination. She nearly tripped over a golden stallion, but since it was so dark, she dismissed it as a rock. She settled down not too far away and stared into the sky. 'Huh. Maybe there are some good spots left.' She thought.

Guardian let out a small gasp when somepony accidentally trips over him. He was too far gone star gazing to even notice the pony coming. Not the one to be rude, he spoke up. "Excuse me, are you alright?" he asked the new comer that came to his little star gazing area.

Soaring glanced his way. "Huh? Oh, yeah. Heh heh. I'm fine." Soaring smiled, clearly embarrassed at her clumsiness. "It's okay. You can go back to whatever it is you were doing now." She blinked and went back to looking at the stars. 'Well, I was certainly being awkward!' She thought. 'I have to be more careful, even when it's dark!' She mind-scolded herself. Soaring then softened and stared at a constellation.

Now, don't be rude and introduce yourself." His mind said scolding him. Clearing his throat to break the silence and get the mares attention, he spoke, "Well that's good to hear. By the way, my name is Guardian Angel. Might I inquire what your name is?" he asked his new star gazing companion.

I hope I didn't hurt you," She said, widening her eyes. "I'm really clumsy sometimes." Soaring chuckled, embarrassed. 'This is nice, talking to somepony.' She thought. 'Maybe I can stop waiting. Don't be silly! I just bumped into him!' Soaring mind-scolded herself again.
