A stereotype I've noticed is femme/girly people being drama queens.

 

I don't identify as "femme," but I certainly have my feminine/androgynous side, but I'm not a drama queen at all. And my voice really isn't campy.

I can't say theres really any stereotypes i honestly like. So yeah.

 

One that i don't like at all however is the male female thing, i just think its dumb, like its so backwards and messed up in alot of cases, and its just dumb most of the time. I've never really liked it, its not like i'm really like flamboyant or anything, but i don't like gender stereotypes.

 

If you want me to be more specific, i'd have to say the one with guys not ever crying, because thats realistically not true, and i just don't like it, i don't like how society expects me to be a emotionless drone.

Stereotypes in general are all horrible, but these probably offend me the most:

 

The stereotype that all shy/quiet people are stuck up and think that they're better than everybody else. Quiet people are quiet because they don't have much to say, and are introverted. Shy people are shy because... well they're scared of people and talking in general for whatever reason.

 

The stereotype that all southerners are red necks. Are some people really so ignorant to think that?

 

Also, the stereotype that all young people (teenagers in particular) are immature. Some of them are, but I know several mature teenagers.

Okay...I have to get this off of my chest.  I have seen the stereotype that ALL AUTISTIC PEOPLE ARE BRAIN-DEAD ASS FACES WHO DON'T KNOW SHIT AND ARE FAT!  Can I just say that I myself am autistic and I am very intelligent, yes I may ask for clarification and ask a lot of questions along with me not being the smartest guy ever, but seriously people; autistic people are simply stunning.  They are some of the most amazing people I know and I am glad that I am different.  Not only does this stereotype offend me greatly, there are actually people that are a lot more autistic than I am to the point where they cant read correctly, write, walk or so much as speak.  Who ever made this stereotype should be put on trial, burned and be served to hell-hounds.

Then there's things people have thought based on things they found out about my interests, personality, etc.

-Bronies are girly or childish.

-LGBT people want to have sex with everything with a pulse.

-Atheists worship Satan.

Truth: Some of the friendliest people I have ever met are teenagers.

Wear it with a fitting outfit and I don't think you'll get any flack. I think the stereotype extends to fashionable and "bad boy" accessories on mismatched casual wear.

Though on the idea of young boys being immature there is some truth in it, Online play with such games as Black Opps and Call of Duty seem to have very immature players that often turn out to be young boys... that happen to be too under the age they should be to play such games and can also be very vulgar.

I hate people for thinking that because you like anime, cartoons and comics, you must be an immature person.

I think in Italy the thing is a bit worse than in other countries (even if things got better in the last few years) since people have no real knowledge of what comics (or graphic novels) are.

 

In a comic-book store I even got asked tauntingly by the cashier how old I was for liking MLP, I say she is clearly working in the wrong shop.

@@Aisling Ink, oh god, seriously? You should have told her to read the advertisements in virtually all mainstream super hero comics then as most of them that I've seen are literally directed at children.

 

Anyway, if there's something that makes me mad as far as stereotypes go it's the stereotype that all teenagers are bad drivers and that somehow women are better at it. The first part doesn't get me near as mad as the second part because out of every teenager that has almost hit me with their car while I'm on the crosswalk, IT IS ALWAYS THE FREAKING GIRLS OH GOD
