The Deep Web? You mean like, Mariana's Web? I've heard tales of this place. From the sound of it, it's pretty friggin messed up. Like, 4chan can't even compare to the stuff in there. Though I admit I am curious, nowhere near enough to try and access it. No thank you, I'd rather not.

Been there. There's really nothing the don't have that you can't find on the normal internet besides CP (which the NSA have finally destroyed, thank goodness), and drugs. However, they have a very nice selection of cheap automatic weapons. You can get an M-60 for under $500.

here too, but they are enough clever to use university student to help them... they pay us pur university taxes if we help them... pretty nice thing thought... i never worked with them since i'm only in the second year but some people i know have done it... helping tracking a pedophilie if i can remember or a mafioso, not sure, it was some years ago

No. 4Chan is part of the regular internet. Deep web is where all of the illegal stuff takes place on the internet. You need a special browser to access it. People use it to buy/sell drugs, hire hitmen, child porn, hacking, and other illegal stuff. It's also much bigger than the regular web.

I've been there once and browsed the illegal marketplace Silkroad before it got taken down because I  was curious. I never had the intention to buy anything there obviously, but just the fact of being in the deep web felt so wrong.

Yep. I've seen some rather disgusting things including LOTS of gore. I have a really sick sense of humor as well so it didn't really phase me. So, pretty much disturbing pornographic material, gore, and drugs. Hell, I was on Omegle video chat before and someone was playing CP.

You can find some neat stuff in there if your looking in the right place, however you can also find some plain ridiculous stuff ranging from anarchists to communists. I stayed well away from the drug trade and porn, but overall the Deep Web is a pretty interesting place.

Yup. Went there because bitcoins was the main currency there and I heard there was a way to increase your bitcoins there legally without mining. Sadly, that wasn't true. That was when bitcoins werent used in the ordinary web yet. Its practically 4chan with no limits. Not really that much of a big deal, really.

 

I'm surprised that the US government shut down the drug trade there but not the CP sites and the assassination markets.

Actually, from what I've heard, the NSA shut down FreedomHosting, or whatever it's called, which hosts like 90% of the CP sites there. So yeah, the CP industry on the Hidden Wiki, as far as I know, has finally been destroyed.
