Cutie Mark: Compass. She has a good sense of direction which is useful for her job as a wasteland courier.

 

Personality: Although brash and hot-headed, Velvet Wings is also a compassionate pegasus that cared for her friends and allies. She understands the risk of jumping into combat without planning but most of the time, she just goes for it. Velvet is also a curious pony, a trait which usually leads her off course but one that also helped her find unique places and things. Sometimes, her curiosity can get her into trouble. Ever since four years ago, Velvet has been a smoker and she enjoys nothing more than a packet of Commander Hurricane cigarettes.

 

Backstory: Born in a Hierarchy-controlled underground colony at Northpoint, Velvet Wings was quite the troublemaker even as a young filly. More often than not, her antics landed her into trouble with not only the orphanage caretaker but also the colony's law enforcers and Colony Master. Her parents died when she was at a young age. Her mother, Ambrosia, died during childbirth while her father, Cloud Wings, died three years later during the Hierarchy invasion of Northpoint Colony. She spent most of her life in the orphanage with her brother Silver Mane. During her 18th birthday, Velvet Wings took the job application test which was compulsory for all ponies the age of 18 as according to the Hierarchy's education policy. She landed herself a job as a wasteland courier and she was to report herself for duty when she is 20. Now, her 20th birthday had passed and it was time to go to the surface. Instead of reporting for duty at the Pony Express Courier Services, Velvet Wings began to wander the wasteland instead, searching for a better meaning in life.
