, I love you so much. You're the only other person I've ever known who has even heard of Solstice, much less played it. Thanks for posting that. Solstice has a righteous soundtrack.

The Magic of Scheherazade has my favorite soundtrack on the NES. I have the theme as my phone's ringtone.

Megaman II had an excellent soundtrack

Hell the Megaman games are probably one of the very few NES games I'm willing to revisit

Bloody brilliant games. Capcom really does not know what they have, from the original series, X, Legends, and so on.

Heh, that's appreciated. I still have the original cartridge. :D

The way the soundtrack combines arabian/irish influences with rock is pretty unique and really gave the game it's identity. That and it offered some pretty fun (puzzle) gameplay. Like you said, for some reason it's that kinda game that just doesn't pop up that often when people talk NES, Some things fly under the radar...

Its nice to hear some of this stuff(and again)

y'all know if it were not for LOZ:ALTTP (specifically dark world love the theme)

And the mega man X series. I probably would have kept this thread to 8 bit xD.

But ya gota love them classic 16 bits too. Specially Doom ^-^

The OST for the original pokemon Red & Blue on the Gameboy comes to mind and here is an excellent example of it.

The Final Fantasy series had some really nice tunes in their gameplay as well. I like the retro sounding 8/16 bit era of gaming and the tracks they had very nostalgic.

God bless you Hakurei Miko. I was about to say that "8-16 bits" doesn't always mean Nitendo.

One of my favourites themes is the Gradius 2, Stage 1 theme

It's simply gorgeous, however, in SHMUP music Tyrian 2000 has a terrific expectacular OST

O
n different theme, I'm tottally surprised that nobody drifted to sega territory. On Sonic 3 and knuckles OST, you can practically feel the drums. There are several games that had releases on both Nintendo and Sega consoles. I would recommend checking both, as having different sound chips gives tottally different results.

Going back to PC, Jazz jackrabbit had a pretty awesome OST, that feels pretty different to lots of things i played.

Shining force on the Genesis had a pretty chill soundtrack aswell. I really like how the Genesis handles the bass sounds. ALso, i recommend listening this one with headphones as it has a nice Stereo effect.

And maybe i will post more later. I used to be more of a PC gamer on the old days, so let's keep it at this for now.
