Now we don't even have to worry about Rarity, at least not in this round. Let's just regroup and ready ourselves for the Round of 16; after all, we'll certainly need it more than her camp will. So does that mean- MUFFIN BREAK!!! YES!!!!!!! Yay! Oh, right, we've still got competitions going on. Twilight and Discord are easy enough choices, but Vinyl vs. Soarin was a bit harder. In the end, it came down to this plain and simple fact; Soarin knocked Doctor Whooves out from getting a bid in the World Cup. For that, HE SHALL PAY!!!! :okiedokielokie: Yup. :okiedokielokie: He's nice enough, but he knocked my muffin out of the tournament. We could've competed together as a family!!! Yeah, I miss daddy. Inactive01 5,294 June 21, 2014 Author Share June 21, 2014 I have a couple of things to say about the World Cup voters so far (none of which are meant to offend or derogate.) I'm surprised that some of the fans of their characters haven't really shown up for this event. I mean, Granny Smith was on the verge of elimination to Button Mash during World Cup qualifying and barely squeaked in, but I haven't seem them around at all to help her with the Apple Family cause. Same goes for Applebloom, despite her two victories so far. In any case, the Apple Family will HAVE to come out if they want them to go far in this tournament. In contrast, I'm surprised that some characters had a larger than expected fan base. I'd like to point to Soarin because he's surprisingly been the best 4th pot character so far, having lost a very tight game against Granny Smith and looking stronger than expected against Vinyl Scratch. Even had a single vote lead at one point. I'm very happy that all of you are taking the World Cup rules to heart. But I want you guys to be more relaxed about the rules. Don't worry about them unless you have something bad to say about your opponent. There's nothing wrong with showing support unless it's meant to bully the other team. Vote turnout on average has reached around 120 votes per game. That's a little more than I expected actually. But I know there's many of you who can still vote to support your character! Keep those votes up! They keep the tournament exciting! Vote differential DOES make a difference in cases of ties! Lastly, where's the rest of the Mane 6 fans?? I've seen Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rarity fans, but where's the rest of the Mane 6 fans? Many of the background characters have been really silent too! C'mon! Most of the mane6 matches have been heavily in their favor, when it came to the number of votes. If this worldcup will start to have more close matches with the mane6 in them, there WILL be cheering. I personally have been pretty laid back because my favorites have been dominating so far. If Rares or Apples will start to get problems i WILL be there for some good old motivational partying! Well, so far it is less exciting, but that is only natural as most matches are curb stomps. That will change though. And even then we had some pretty close matches already. Mostly involving Scoots and Celestia for example. Everything is fine man! It will get more exciting! Vinyl Scratch vs Soarin: Blah blah blah, background characters don't have any personality, go Soarin. I really need to put this in a notepad to copy and paste it. I've said it way too much! But yeah, at least Soarin has had a few speaking roles. Vinyl Scratch.. we haven't developed an actual canon personality yet. Discord vs Lyra: ..I already explained a million times.
