((Really the mane 6 snowballed their competition before these matches))Just so we're clear this isn't exactly soccer... which means that it MIGHT not be exactly a fair victory of each character over another. Besides this isn't a debate at which character is better... but at which character is loved better... or at best it is a mix of both and not a true competition but rather a popularity contest made to look like a World Fifa cup.Let me just stop you right here... i am okay with that.That's not to say i don't have my complaints about it but my complaints are a little bit out of context... meaning they can essentially be considered irrelevant to this contest. Clopinkie 86 July 2, 2014 Share July 2, 2014 I figured this would be a close vote despite it being a member of the Mane 6 vs. a background pony, but can't say I'm surprised to see Twilight with the lead.Anyways, I voted for Derpy. I probably like her just as much as Twilight, and I don't mind throwing the underdog a vote every once and a while. Just like the other votes; it's not that I don't like Twilight; just that I like Derpy more. Twilight is smart, dedicated, caring, and adorable. The way that she gets a thought in her head and won't let to no matter how crazy she gets (ie. Lesson Zero or It's About Time) is always fun to watch; mostly because it reminds me of myself. In fact, while I may personally self identify more with Pinkie Pie; I learned taking the Bronyland personality test that I may indeed have the most in common with the Princess of Friendship... It surprised me when I saw the results; but when I read the description; it fit me to a tee... We are just about to end the game here between Twilight Sparkle and Derpy Hooves! While this match became a close one indeed, the fans ultimately opted to vote for the ever dazzling Princess Twilight Sparkle! The queen of Derp put up a very tough fight throughout, but was bested by the new alicorn with a score of 104-71. It was indeed the closest Mane 6 vs Non-Mane 6 game we've ever seen, but ultimately, Twilight Sparkle won more fans... This is not to the discredit of Derpy Hooves by any stretch! She fought the hardest even against a very strong Mane 6 character in Rarity! The luck of draw did not favour her unfortunately... Still, a big round of applause for Derpy as she has performed the best of the losers in the Round of 16 so far! Now we shall move on to the second last of the Round of 16 matches, this time not having any Mane 6 characters in the fold for the first time since the Round of 16 began with an emphatic victory by Princess Luna over Zecora! This round will perhaps see another close encounter like the one we've seen today as the Lord of Chaos pits against the dragon assistant to Twilight Sparkle! Who will win this game and have the honour of pitting against Rarity in the Quarterfinal? He was lucky to make it just beyond the 2% tie barrier, else his Voter Differential of -22 and Voter Preference of 47.3% would not have been enough to knock out Cadance if they drew.
