Instead, I would be just like all of them. Besides, I prefer pony-on-pony action rather than human-on-pony. As a clopper, and someone who says Rarity is his Waifu, I'd just like it to be clear that when I said, and I'm sure this is the case with many of the responses here, we don't want and hope to date them. We're not all like that dude who married his Twilight plushie. I hope. It's more or less a fun thing, you know? I mean, when I say Rarity is my waifu, does that mean she's actually my wife? Nahh. I have no strong feelings for or against them, and feel that other peoples' private preferences are no concern of mine as long as it's not hurting anyone. I do think a lot of them kind of wear their kinks on their sleeves and could stand to be a bit less unabashed about it, but eh. Anyway, the topic posed a question, and I answered it. I like Rarity as a character because she's a completely over-the-top ham that nonetheless gets plenty of believable character development. She's very likable, and is definitely my favorite character for a reason, but I just don't have romantic feels for her (see again: fictional cartoon horse). There is always going to be a few people who take things a bit far, but even with the multitude of people who have crushes on some of the ponies, me being one of them most of us do realize that they are not real and are able to separate fantasy and reality and move on with our lives. The good news of course is that the ponies represent common personality types and there are women out there with some of those same traits, so even if I can't ever be with Applejack I can meet a woman who is like Applejack. Sexuality is a complicated matter, far more complicated than most people realize so I think that so long as people are able to seperate fantasy from reality that they are far from being delusional even if some of those fantasies are a tad unusual. It seems the recurring trend is to be a pony before starting a relationship (even though the OP stated this to begin with). I would have a relationship regardless of my race. If you truly love someone/pony there should be nothing holding you back. On the topic of who I'd date, it'd have to be Trixie. I feel she is misunderstood by others, and she misunderstands others herself. As a person or as a pony it wouldn't really matter to me if we became attracted to each other. They aren't just clueless animals, the ponies have their own thoughts and intelligence just like humans and can give consent unlike a dog or actual pony. I believe if these ponies were real, our worlds connected in some way, and we could clearly communicate with each other I don't see why not, humans and ponies being together.
