My first language is Cantonese. (a Chinese dialect, also known as yue) Born and grew up in Hong Kong up until I was 8, which then I moved to Canada. :P I would admit my English is better than my Chinese though... :adorkable:

Funny. When i was 10 my family moved to Hong Kong.

I grew up with 2 languages, Cantonese and German. Because my father is chinese and my mother german.

My first language is Italian, but if I have to be honest I like English 1000 times more than it!

Actually, I might love English, but I consider nothing to be better than English with Italian accent! I just find Italo-American stereotypes to be really funny!

My first (and only) language is English. I took two years of German in high school so I can speak a little bit of that but only enough to get through a small, basic exchange.

English is my first language. I took a couple Spanish classes in high school, but I never was very good at speaking it. Could read some Spanish, but that's it.

Even when I did try to speak a little Spanish, it sounded weird with my heavy southern accent.

My first language is Dutch.

My second languages are English and Mandarin (my best friend's mother taught me Mandarin since I was very young, she's Chinese). I also speak quite some French but not as fluently as Dutch, English and Mandarin.

I've also been studying Burmese and Russian for quite a while now, I really hope to speak them fluently someday.
