They sat for a while in silence on the beach before they heard the sound of sand scraping against a hull. KB looked up to see an aged Power Ten staring intently at Shadow. Her feathers were also slightly darkened from years spent working the forge. She wore a headband that kept her feathers from haning in her eyes.* "Shadow? That crazy colt.
