Runedawns smile dissapeared immediately when the little filly's face was wreched with anger. He got a felling he knew where the conversation between North Wind and Crystal would be going. He started to panic again. "I can't fight... I can't refuse! Why, why is this happening!" He thought as Crystal was yelling at North wind. Then she turned to Runedawn. He knew what was coming. "Dont..." He thought as she opened her mouth. "I WON'T!" He thought as she started her sentance. "I WON'T, I WON'T, I WON'T!" He repeated. And then suddendly...: "I won't... I won't dissapoint you my princess." He said.

 

He looked at North Wind and he hoped that he could feel what he was feeling. "IF I EVER, EVER GET MY HOOVES ON YOU AGAIN I'LL MAKE SURE IT'S ON YOUR DEAD BODY!" He screamed mentally. Then he genuinely asked something. "However, to succeed, I will need my Runes back..." He said. After that he added something that he really didn't want to say. "And the group is quite a challenge, with the princess and everything, and since North Wind has 'Frozen' me, I don't know if I can use my runes and connect to the core anyway. I need some sort of advantage over them. I wont be able to do this myself... I need some sort of power." He said. "STOP TALKING YOU DIMWIT! YOU DON'T WANT TO KILL YOUR FRIENDS RIGHT? COME STUMBLING IN AT THEM AND LET THEM FINISH YOU, THEN IT'LL BE OVER!" He screamed internally again. His outside didn't show anything.  "I know where they are, and I know where they are headed, so finding them won't be a problem. All I need is power and your permission your highness. Your command is my wish." He said. "You arselicker... You traitor!" He yelled at himself.

(Who's to say Luna doesn't already know and is fuming down in the cave she can choose to look through Steel's eyes when she wants to, not that the fillies would know that. But you both were almost smashed by a sun shard while Steel was having an argument with a mare and then instead of checking on you both he started drinking... She wasn't happy or impressed, the only thing that stopped her from storming up was that Wanderlust and embers were there and not in tears so she assumed you were okay but if you hadn't shown up when you did they would have gotten an ear full of angry Demi-god royal voice after she found you two of course haha)

 

Wanderlust looked down at the two Filly's, "this many glasses is fine, ponies can take a lot more..." He looked after the way embers had went, "well maybe he has had enough."

 

He turned to Steel, "okay the fillies are right, lets head back to the sun shard and figure out what we are supposed to do with it." He pushed himself to his feet, "break time is over."

'My body is already dead, what more could you do to it?' North Wind spoke in Runedawn's head, each word felt like a cold wet tongue licking along the inside of his skull.

 

'Also you really shouldn't talk to yourself like that, you'll go mad'. He gave a dark chuckle. 'I must thank you for the information and entertainment you've been providing... But pray you do not make me look bad before the Princess again or I will make your existence a hell beyond even this one!' A spike of icy pain shooting through Runedawn's skull at the threat.

Sapphire looked at grell, then to the dragon "Yes, Yes I do...." She smiled warmly, and sat down, then looked at grell

The blood from her wrist dropped to the flower turning it red the blood flow stopped grell turned to Auldin "do you wish to become sapphires familiar" grell asked Auldin nodded "yes I do" he said grell tossed the flower to him and it wilted in his grasp "it is done you are now forever bonded" grell said

Steel nodded and downed another glass beige heading out

The dogs watched with amusement as embers slammed into the wall the knew he was drunk and they stepped out of hiding ten in all the lead dog was thin obviously fast "well what of we have here a drunk pony that is with the herd we've been tracking how nice" he said he pulled out a knife "you'll tell us where they are and where they plan to go"

Grell thought for a moment "more like he's your servant and protector" grell said "but typically you'll have a bond like that of brother and sister"

Auldin smiled at sapphire and bowed "my lady" Auldin said sounding like a butler "your wish is my command"

The dogs looked at embers the lead one dashes in and kicked his legs out form under him possibly breaking one "now then if your done if like to get back to business" he said spinning his blade his his paw in truth the blade was for show because his claws where much sharper

"Okay, so what do we do now?" Wanderlust stood next to the fillies staring at the sun shard. This shard was the size of a small boulder and had to weigh a ton. "I never really thought to ask what we're supposed to do with them once we find them... I mean embers' shard is just the size of a sword, but this one is huge!"

 

Luna spoke into Steels mind, 'tell the girls that they need to go to either side of the shard and put their hooves up on it. Then they need to push down on it, push down on it really hard as if they wanted to shove it into the ground completely.' She knew what to do with the shards, she could help activate the magic in the fillies and help them magically sink the shard down into the core or at least just outside it. The shard would be safe there.

Embers chuckled "Oh, You cant brake me there buddy!" He said as he pushed his sword into the dogs let, he could feel his own shatter as he fell, and was under alot of pain

The dogs laughed "you are the drunken one" the lead dog said as he threw the knife at embers it hit the leg he had already broken

Auldin smiled at her " that's good then I shall enjoy this eternity" Auldin said

"Alright." The two stood on either side and pushed down as hard as they could. Willow was using her wings her head; and her hooves, while Crystal was jumping on it. The shard slowly sunk down into the earth. After a few seconds, the shard was halfway buried, and thet were panting from exertion. "Alright Flower, one last push." 《But... its... so... water... tiring!》"Please, Flower?"《Fi... fine..》 They pushed on the shard as hard as they could and it sunk comepletely. Willow was panting, and Crystal slumped to the ground. "See? It was not that hard.."

The dogs looked at him them searched him and found the sun shard and took it from him laughing "we don't care about the gods they haven't fine anything to us and if they are so powerful then they know that we are trying to kill you and they haven't tried to stop us" the dog said

"Well it seemed like you two vanished for a little while, when you wanted time alone with the shard. After that I went after Embers into the building and you came after us a little later... But where did you go sapphire? You should have seen them come back earlier and where's Grell?" Wanderlust asked as he walked away from where two fillies that each weighed less than him and maybe less tan him combined had somehow just pushed a boulder into the earth like it was in quicksand.

The dogs laughed as began walking the one holding the sunshard yelped and dropped it "that stupid thing burned me" the dog said it flew to embers hoof

Auldin followed sapphire

Grell followed as well with auron in tow "yeah you two okay" grell said

Wanderlust moved to comfort them, he was surprised that they didn't remember what had happened and that it was obviously affecting them so much. He sat down next to them leaning against Willow and wrapping his tail around Flower, "calm down you two, it's okay. You didn't tell me what was going on... And what you said didn't really make sense but you were really confident about what you were doing and had some sort of plan. So I bet it will come back to you in time." He leaned in close and whispered so only they could hear, "also when you disappeared I heard you in my mind like you've done before, you told me it was alright and it was just an illusion, that you were still really there next to the sun shard."
