Painted Lattice 131 January 9, 2014 Share January 9, 2014 I'm sure this has been done before somewhere but I wouldn't know where to start to look for it. An idea hit me that it'd be neat to see what everyone's favorite song for each mood would be. If you can't think of a favorite you could just list a song that comes to mind or a song that isn't meant to be, for example, sad but it makes you sad anyway. I know it's tough to think of songs when there are SO many options out there, so even my choices are off the top of my head. Favorite Happy Song: San Francisco by The Mowgli's Favorite Sad Song: Toss-up Between Illusion by VNV Nation and Mad World by Gary Jules Favorite Angry Song: Broken by The Birthday Massacre or Under and Over It by FFDP Favorite Inspirational/Motivating Song: Maaaybe Keep Your Head Up by Andy Grammar Favorite Energizing/Work-Out Song: (I like listening to electronic for working out & songs where the focus isn't on understanding the lyrics so I'll throw this up) I Hate You by 2NE1 Favorite Holiday Song: Everyday is Halloween by Ministry Favorite Romantic Song: Savior by Rise Against Favorite Song to Dance to: Vocaloid's Bad Apple is all I can think of right now Favorite Song that Scares You: (This one is a little tougher, so it's optional) I've Plummed This Whole Neighborhood by Nurse with Wound Favorite Somber Song: Minerva by Deftones Favorite Chill-Out Song: Anything by Depeche Mode Favorite Oldies Song (Let's say the 60's or earlier): Voodoo Chile by Jimi Hendrix I could add more but this thing is getting long so I think that's enough. Add more if you like.

jackleapp81 454 January 10, 2014 Share January 10, 2014 (edited) Favorite Happy Song: Yeah 3X - Chris Brown (I don't care much for Chris Brown as a person, but this song gets me seriously pumped up and happy about life every time I hear it.) Favorite Sad Song: John Wayne Gacy, Jr. - Sufjan Stevens (Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this song, because on one hand, it's very sad and moving, and on the other hand, I feel that I shouldn't feel moved by it, because it tries to paint a sympathetic picture of a heinous serial killer. Either way, this is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard, so it fits). Favorite Angry Song: Cinderella Man - Eminem (A righteous anger is present throughout the entire song. Whenever I feel like I could punch someone, I play this and I let all of that pent-up anger out.) Favorite Inspirational/Motivating Song: The Fire - The Roots (Simple, to the point, and out of this world. The Fire has a pretty powerful universal message that anyone can understand. There's a fire inside all of us. Use it.) Favorite Energizing/Work-Out Song: Rock That Body - The Black Eyed Peas (This song just radiates energy. It's pulsing beat, layer upon layer of audio tracks, and the lyrics really bring out the dance fiend in me. It makes for a great work-out song as well. Truthfully, dance and workout songs kind of go hand-in-hand.) Favorite Holiday Song: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Judy Garland (Probably kind of a generic choice for favorite holiday song, but this one always warms my heart and makes me nostalgic. I never get tired of hearing it.) Favorite Romantic Song: Can I Have This Dance - High School Musical 3 soundtrack (Look, I'm going to go waaaaaay out a limb here, and say: I think the music in high school musical isn't all that bad. In fact, I love a lot of the songs. It's my guilty pleasure, what can I say? This might not be the best love song in the universe, but it's the song that I think of most whenever somebody mentions love songs.) Favorite Song to Dance to: Who's That Chick? - David Guetta (Feat. Rihanna) (OOoooooh yes. Me and this song are....one. This is one of my favorite dance songs ever. It's right up there with 'Music'by Madonna and 'Just Dance' by Lady Gaga. This is probably considered more pop than dance, or maybe it's both, but I don't care. This song makes me want to dance wildly and uncontrollably everytime it comes on, and that's all that counts at the end of the day.) Favorite Song that Scares You: Plains/Bitter Dancer - Fleet Foxes (Talk about creepy. You want a song that will make you really feel uncomfortable? This is that song. The first time I heard it, I hated it, but as I listened to it more, it ended up having a very profound emotional effect on me. Probably one of the most unique songs I own. Favorite Somber Song: Lighthouse - The Roots (No other song captures the essence of 'somber' quite so effectively. Just give it a listen, you'll know what I mean.) Favorite Chill-Out Song: Couldn't think of one Favorite Oldies Song: I really like The Safety Dance. It's not 50's or 60's, but that is one of my favorite songs that's old in general, I 'spose.
