'Youre asking me?' Traveller said with surprise. 'I feel insignificant all the time.' he said quietly. 'I was bullied a lot as a foal. I wasn't as balanced or smart as the other pegasi, so I was usually the target for bullys.' he said solemnly. 'But then I realized that's entirely ok. I'm me. Who cares if someone makes you feel insignificant. Because you can make a change. It took somepony to do everything that's ever been done. Why not you?' he answered looking at Ambiance. 'Dont cry.' He said.

How is he so happy... He was sleeping on a park bench, and here he is, sleeping soundly, happier than anypony I've met.

Ambiance tried to stop her self-pity, but she continued to cry.

"H-how? How are you so happy? How do you live like this..."

She held her head between her hooves, sobbing uncontolably.

You're worthless, Ami. Nopony cares about you...

'I don't know. I guess it's because I've traveled so much. I realized that ponies should be happy and can be happy. Why not be happy?' He said as he sat down next to Ambiance. 'I like to think. I only think about positive things. Think about how much goes right. We focus so much on what goes wrong. How that food spoiled, or how that money was lost. But we don't focus on how the sun comes up every day. How we can soar above the ground. How we can so magic!' He said pointing at her horn. He wrapped her in his left wing. 'Its ok...' He said, resting his shoulder on her and closing his eyes.

She stopped crying. She just stared blankly outside.

"No, I can't..."

She began to cry again.

"I can't do magic..."

She now sobbed uncontrollably.

He doesn't care. Quit trying to drag him into this. You don't deserve any sympathy. You're useless.

'I-I didn't know...' Traveller said quietly as he put his wing away. 'Im sorry...' He whispered as he sat looking at the floor. 'I caused all of this. If I hadn't ran into that wall, you never would have noticed me. If you never noticed me, you wouldn't have gotten tied up in this. Why can't I ever fix[i/] problems?' He murmured as he tried starters at the ground. 'Im really sorry Ambiance. Your not worthless. Your my friend, so your worth it to me...' he said.

Regal sat on the ground before the pond in the park. Levitating a rock he tossed it into the pond and watched the rippling effect of the pond. Sighing, he rested his back against the ground and looked up to the night sky. 

 

"Another day down..." He closed his eyes for a while and smiled. "Looks like I missed the chance to have fun this day" He said with a grin on his face. It disappeared and he opened his eyes again. Lifting another rock in front of his face he changed its color to a bright red. Changing the tone of red to one he liked he also tossed it into the pond. A small area of colored rocks was forming on the bottom of the lake.

 

"Maybe I should just sleep here" He said to no one. Picking himself off the ground he looked at the lake. "its not like I have anything to do at my home anyways" -I'll take a small stroll under the light of the moon- He thought to himself. Gathering his items and placing them in his bag he set off for home, but he was taking the long way home.

Ambiance cried more, but tried to fight it.

Don't drag anypony else into your problems. You don't deserve them to help you.

"D-don't worry about me. N-none of this is your fault. It's mine. I-i-i just wanted to help you. You looked so down on your luck, I-i just had to..."

She looked at Traveller, now trying to hold back her tears.

She put her hoof under his chin, holding his head to look at her.

She smiled, then wrapped her arms around him in a hug.

Traveller almost tripped again, flapping his wings to balance him. He hugged Ambiance and patted her back. 'Your not worthless. You're awesome. Why would a worthless person help someone who can barely stand?' he said as he folded his wings away again. 'Come on. You need some sleep.' He said.

She held Traveller even tighter. She didn't want to let go.

"Th-th-thank you..."

She still sobbed.

He actually cares about you... Why? You don't deserve anypony caring about... You don't deserve anypony.

She was a little calmer now, but continued to cry. She never opened up to anypony... He was so kind...

When Traveller realized she wasn't going to move, he forgot about getting her to bed. She was obviously not in the mood to sleep. 'Hey, don't mention it. That's what friends are for, right? What kind of person would I be, not repaying you for everything you've done?' Traveller said as he let Ambiance cry into his coat. It was a dark grey now, though he didn't even notice. 'You seem to have a lot on your mind. Just say it. Friends are there to listen.'

"Oh? It is? Interesting, seems like we have one thing to add that we have in common," Architectural Dream replied sipping his cup of tea. His mother was the one that showed him this tea, surprisingly, it was pretty good. Unlike most of the time where she'll give him something to try that would have him running to the bathroom. He smiled at those memories, his father would then scold his mother.

She lifted her head from his shoulder, through her tears was a small smile.

"I-i just feel like I've never done anything important in my life. I feel like nopony will ever care about me. My family is really disappointed with me. Th-they don't say it, but I know. I just feel so useless..."

She now stopped crying, with a solemn look in her eyes.

"Sometimes... I just feel like I should end it. I don't even think anypony would care..."

She now held him tighter, crying again.

'Hey! Don't say that. I'd miss you, a lot. Like, a serious amount. Your family would. Quill would. Everyone would. You're more important than you think.' Traveller smiled as he hugged his friend. 'Why do you think you're not

Important? I'm not sleeping on the streets. That's something good you did.'

She continued rocking back and forth in his embrace.

Why does he care about you? Why? Maybe he's right. I don't even know any more.

She had never told this to anypony... he reacted so calmly. He was such an amazing pony.

He's homeless, and here you are, wollowing in self-pity... You don't deserve him.

She continued to cry. Not out of sadness, but now also frustration.

'Hey. Come on, calm down. It's not that bad. You have me and Quill. Heck, your family's here too in Canterlot. There's always something great about everything.' Traveller said as he tried to calm Ambiance down. 'Ambiance, come on. It's nearly 2 AM. We need to sleep or else Quill will leave without us.' Traveller laughed and then yawned as he looked at his friend. 'We can't let Quill do that work by himself.' He said as he shuffled towards Ambiances bed

She continued trying to grip him tightly, her eyelids were now swollen with tears.

Why won't you just let go, Ami... Why won't you let him go...

"Please, don't go... Don't go... please..."

She was still crying. She couldn't stop.

'Uh, ok...' Traveller said as he scooted back to where he had been standing. 'Ambiance... Do you need anything?' Traveller asked as he wrapped his wings around her. 'Seriously. Just tell me if you need anything. Something's making you keep on crying. What is it?' He asked. He shuffled closer to the window and pointed towards the Moon. 'Its beautiful. Just think about that.' He said looking at Ambiance.

Ambiance looked at the moon. It was as beautiful as ever. It's shining light eminated through her vision.

"It is beautiful..."

She continued to look at the moon, then back at Traveller. She felt as though she could forget about all of her problems, her sorrows, in this moment.

"I just feel so alone. I have no real friends, I never did. I spent my whole childhood travelling. I just feel so... alone in this world... I don't want to let you go..."

She looked directly at him. He was one of the few who actually cared about her. She began to cry again, but with a small smile on her face.

'Yeah, I know how lonely traveling can be. But I have you two now!' Traveller said happily. The moon continued to fall. 'Im not sure, but the smile on your face tells me you feel a whole lot better. Are you ready to sleep? I'll be right there if you need me.' He smiled, looking at Ambiance.

"I wish I had the same self-confidence as you, or the same optimism, but I don't really think I'd get in, it's such a high-standing place, I hardly think an orphan from Ponyville can get into such an amazing place in Canterlot." Missy said. "But I'm a unicorn, so that's something, right?"

She continued to hug Traveller, slowly loosening her grip.

Her eyelids were swollen and red, and she slowly stopped her tears.

She was shaking, slowly moving towards her bed.

'Th-thank you... I-i'm just so... lonely. I-i just couldn't let you go..."

'Its ok. I don't mind.' Traveller said as he floated onto his bed. 'Remember, I'll be right her if you need anything.' He said as he flopped onto his bed like usual. 'Anything. I don't care if it's a glass of water, just tell me and I'll do it.' Traveller shifted into his bed and closed his eyes

She continued to look outside for a few more minutes. She continued to stare at the moon... It was so beautiful.

"Uh-uh... is it okay if I just..." She barely got her words out, she didn't exactly want to say it. "Is it okay, if I coud, um... hold onto you while I try to sleep... I-i won't wake you up..."

Her cheeks were red as cherries. She was emberrassed just to ask...

'Uh...sure.' Traveller said. 'Whatever you need.' he smiled. It was an odd request, but he had said he would do anything. Oh well. 'Just do whatever will help you sleep. I really don't mind.' he happily said as he shifted again, making room for Ambiance. 'Thats what friends are for anyway. Like I've said many times, whatever makes you comfortable is fine with me.'
