Geoff trudged on. 'Does it usually get this hot? It's hotter than Austin.' He said as he walked by Luna. He fanned himself, attempting to get cool. He dug through his bag and fished out a bottle of water. Taking a sip, he put it back in. 'This really is crazy. How far are we out?' He asked no one in particular.

Luna saw Geoff's discomfort and raised a wing over him to give some shade. The other two saw this and thought it was adorable. Celestia leaned in and whispered to her friend.

"So cute, aren't they."
"Five bits they hook up."

"I only takes bit in where I win."
The two continued their walk

'Thanks.' Geoff smiled. He adjusted his tshirt so it wasnt sticking to him as much. They group walked towards their destination.

Geoff wondered where they were going. Likely to did the mask. He wondered what it looked like. He wished they were going to a town. Hopefully someone could fix his jacket. Or he could get a new one.

Bored, he took out the quarter and flipped it a few times.

"We should be arriving in an hour or so. Our destination is dodge junction. A small settlement in the desert. Though it has become habitable. If you wish we may rent a room to rest in for the night and retrieve the mask in the morn."

"Sounds good to me, Luna."

"As does I. We shall get a room."
Aaron began to snicker at her remark.

"What?"
"Nothing, nothing at all."

Geoff made a small smirk at that comment. 'I'm fine with the morning.' He said. He flipped his coin again.

(Hour Passes)

The group came to a small, dusty town. It was not busy but ponies were seen milling around. Geoff saw a medium sized building. The group walked in, and they payed for a room. 'There we go.' Geoff said happily.

In their room, they sat their things down. Relieved of the extra weight. Celestia and Aaron hit the bed. Relaxing on the cold blankets.

"Oh, how I've missed you blankets."
Aaron wasn't sayong much. He was just soaking up the cold feeling on his skin.

"Geoff. Shall you and I look around town a bit?"

'Of course. Why not?' Geoff smiled. He lay the last of his stuff down and took out a few bits. He slipped out of the room with Luna. The pair began walking slowly down te street. 'Hey Luna, something bothering you? I walk when something is wrong. A lot of humans do on Earth.' Geoff asked with some worry in his voice.

"I am fine. I just wanted to walk with you and get to know you a little more. We rarely talk and I just wanted to meet you properly. So. what can you tell me about yourself, Geoff? I'm curious to know."
The two walked down the road, the ponies staring at them as they went.

'Me? Not much. I moved a lot as a kid. Nearly all my family passed away by now. I worked for a business creating video games. I love code. Never had many friends, but ive always been one who likes being with small groups. My habits have made me pretty much nocturnal. Not much is interesting about me.' Geoff shrugged. He really wasn't interesting. 'What about you Luna? I barely know you.' He asked.

"Well, before my sister and I traveled the country, we ruled the land as co rulers of Equestria. I was the guardian of the night, protecting my ponies in their dreams. I was a one for the night as well. Though most nights were dull I tough myself thing to occupy my time. You have seen one of them as is."

'That's cool. I like your nights. They are more beautiful than Earth's.' Geoff complimented. They walked along the road as most ponies disappeared into their houses. 'I love stargazing. That's another thing. That's a reason I like the night, too.' He added. He took the quarter out again and flipped it.

Luna was surprised. He liked her night skies. No pony has ever complimented her skies. And he said that her were more beautiful than that of an alien world. Luna gave a blush at his words.

"T-Thank you, Geoff. That is very sweet of you. Um... What else do you like. I wish to hear more."

'Uh...I dunno. I enjoy playing video games. I also like flying. Of course, I can't fly. But I love flying in planes. That's really it. Like I said, I'm not very interesting.' Geoff said as he shrugged. He looked up at the sky again, mumbling constellation names as he searched for them. He found a few but this was definitely not Earths night sky. He looked back at Luna, her mane blowing like it always did. 'I like your mane. It's pretty.' He smiled. He almost said hair but he was glad he was raised around horses.

"Uh, o-oh. Thank you, young Geoff. How kind."

The two walked through the town looking at all the sights. Luna broke the silence once more.

"So. What do you think of my sister and Aaron?"

Luna was eager to break the silence. Though her choice in question could have been better.

Geoff cursed himself for saying something so awkward. Luna broke the silence.

'Oh, them? Aaron is really the opposite of me. Haven't talked to him much. Celestia is nice but I rarely speak to her. You're really the only one I talk to.' Wolff said as the walked down the path. They came to an area outside of town. It was a large grassy field that faded into sand about a mile down. There were no trees. 'Huh. We've gone far.'

"true, but not too far off. We are still within the town so it will be easy to return."

He liked talking to her. She was pleased. She wondered how far she could go with it.

"Geoff. I have one more question. What do you think... of me?"

She awaited for the human to answer her question.

'What do you mean? You're cool. You're the only one I can relate to, you are the only one I talk to, and you're one of my only friends. Ever. I like you.' Geoff smiled. What was she inquiring? He assumed it was tied to the kiss. That would be an awkward conversation. Geoff mentally sighed and tried to think of ways to move the conversation. Did he like Luna the way she was inquiring? Maybe.

"I was just curious. I really like you, too. You're one of my only friends as well. I've been alone my whole life."

Luna sat on the grass. Getting comfortable.

"But since I met you on this journey, I feel I met somepony like me in some way. Somepony I could talk to without fear of judgement."

'Yeah. I've said it before, I didn't have many friends. I was just the lonely kid that no one really knew. No use in judging and insulting.' Geoff signed as he lay down next to Luna. He looked up to the stars, retracing the constellations he ha done earlier. 'I'm glad I met you. I'm glad I let the other world behind. This one is so much better.' He thought outloud.

Luna and Geoff sat on the grass, enjoying their company.

"I'm glad you came as well."

Luna began to drift off into her head. Letting her brain soar. After enough time passed, Luna sat up.

"Come. We have been gone long enough. Let us return to our room to rest and feed."

Geoff stood up. 'Yeah. Don't want Aaron Ann Celestia to freak out. C'mon.' He said as he began to walk back into town. The pair walked for roughly 10 minutes before coming to te medium building. He slipped oh and saw Aaron and Celestia fast asleep. 'Night Luna.' He said before slipping into bed.

The night went on. Upon the crack of dawn, The sisters were sorting through the journal, trying to find the mask's location. Aaron awoke to the frustration and shuffling of paper. He approached them, but put on some pants first.

"Morning, Celestia. Morning Luna."
"Good morning, Aaron."
Luna didn't answer. Placing her focus into the journal. Only giving off a low grunt.

Geoff moaned. He Lay for another moment before wonderig where Luna was and sat up. He looked to see the group around Luna. He jumped out of bed and walked over. He saw her hunched over te book. 'Morning Luna. Whatcha got so far?' He asked as he sat done next to her and looked over the page.

Luna's attention was brought to her new friend.

"Geoff. Good morning to you."

Aaron looked in jealousy.

"How come I didn't get that kind of greeting?"
"Because, you didn't share a sign of romance to her."
Aaron gave chuckle. Luna brought the journal with her.
"So far I have deciphered the journal to a 50 mile radius of our current location. However. I would like to shorten that radius gradually. I was hoping you could help."

'Yeah. So, what do we have to work with? Are there directions?' Geoff asked as he looked over the odd symbols in the journal. He saw a few symbols as recognized them as some Luna had decoded. He grabbed an apple as ate it as he finished skimming the page again. 'So we know its within 50 miles? What places are within that range?'
