My favorite would have to be...

 

 

Cubone!

 

He is just the most interesting Pokemon to me! I grew up and thought hey that's a cool skull Pokemon! Then I got a bit older and looked through my Pokedex...

 

PKMN YELLOW: Wears the skull of its deceased mother. Its cries echo inside the skull and come out as a sad melody.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What???

 

 

How could such a grimdark back story exist in the happy-go-lucky world of Pokemon! This freaked me out as a child!

 

To add even more to the tragic story, he's the Lonely Pokemon and in an early beta stage Cubone's original name was Orphan! Yeah... Orphan... let's just rub it in!

 

My brother would complain while watching the cartoon that Cubone seemed like a crybaby... I think he has a legitimate reason to be sad!

 

Cubone has probably the coolest and most tragic back story out of any Pokemon! And that's why I love him!

Mudkip, I've always loved mudkip, when I borrowed Pokemon ruby ( or was it Sapphire ) off a person who never played it when I started I picked mudkip, and named him something similar to my real life name, and I named the main character my real life name so I got confused who was who all the time, I also had no idea how to play and I had 60 hours of game play before the first gym and a level 36 swampert. that was a great game, I manged to finish it after working out what the hell to do.
