Victoria and Co. 782 April 17, 2012 Share April 17, 2012 Sam walked down the dark street. Behind her she was pulling her only stuffed toy from home. She had gone home to get it in an attempt to cheer the others up, but upon her arrival, she found them to have already left. Sam stopped and looked towards the sky. She sighed and hugged her toy. Sam sat down under a flickering streetlamp, clutching the animal close. Tears welled up in her eyes and began streaking down her face. Her hair was a mess and her skin was coated in dirt. As she continued to cry, she began to hiccup. Through the hiccups and tears she began to talk to the stuffed toy. Of course, the toy remained silent but nonetheless, she began to feel better. Soon her crying stopped. Sam stood up and slung the toy over her shoulder. Her long black dress billowed out behind her as she brushed dark hair from her face. He shook his head, he had only been gone for a day-and-a-half and the entire city had gone to heck. His boots silently held him the air as we watched the proceedings eagerly. His "business trip" had taken longer than he'd expected, but he was back now. The city would soon be at peace. It would be balanced.
