It started out as this experiment.

It's an okay piece. But it has a little too much repitition.

 

Plus the percussion is very very dry. You need more fill-ins and transitions throughout this piece. All you have is just kick and clap. Add some hit-hats, whether opened or closed. 

 

Also, that synth you have running as the melody, needed to be swept through a filter to increase the variance. It was too bland staying in that filter. Run it through a sweeping frequency filter at some points and leave it opened up with the brightness turned up. Then you can close it back up in the filter later. 

 

There are so many ways you can improve this piece
