Gifs from my favorite TV show aside, because Applejack perfectly represents the current tide of the show/fandom and would be a most fitting champion.

 

Which pony suddenly became the only pony in Season 3 to appear with a speaking role in every episode?

 

 

Which pony is practically the new main character this season, with 5 episodes to her name and almost all of them top-notch quality?

 

 

So if you don't go Applejack because she's best pony, go Applejack because it shows just how much things have changed and how "Background pony" is now "March Madness Champion". She's had a wonderful season that just needs a capper. Here's to her winning this silly old contest to give us one!
