Twilight for sure, then a tie between Pinkie and Rarity. Pinkie and Rarity didn't appeal to me much in the beginning, but they've really grown on me.

There are 3 ways to look at your favourite pony - there's the one you feel yourself to be, there's the one you would like to be, and there's the one you'd like to hang out with and have a couple of beers with.

 

And then there's the fourth way of seeing it - which one you just think is a great concept or interesting personality, or just plain cute. So for me it went -

 

Interpretation one, who do I feel most like? Twilight

Interpretation two, who would I most like to be? Twilight

Interpretation three, who would I most like to hang out with? Twilight

Interpretation four, who do I think is interesting and cute? Rarity and Fluttershy.

Rarity seems very similar to me, always trying to make sure that others are completely satisfied, even if it causes you to have your hands completely full.

Funny you should say that, as RD was also my initial favorite. However, I had a very hard time really picking a favorite in the end. Once I thought I figured out who I liked, I started admiring somepony else. I think I finally settled it with AJ. Any one of them would make a great favorite though.

I must admit Rainbow Dash was my favourite at first - if only for the sheer brilliance of her multi-coloured mane - but I have since watched the series in full, and having done so decided that the most fabulous of ponies is, without a shadow of a doubt, Rarity.
