As my love of the show has progressed, my favorite pony has also. I used to love Rainbow Dash, because I didn't watch a lot of episode and she seemed pretty cool. As I watched more and more episodes, I grew to like Pinkie Pie(my favorite) for her fun loving attitude and Fluttershy for some of her personal traits., but hated Rarity for what I described to one person as a "Self-obsessed Fashionista" attitude. Lately, though Pinkie Pie remains my favorite, Rarity has been climbing up my list of favs, and I've even learned to love Luna almost as much as pinkie pie and fluttershy., who I initially regarded as some non-important, one-time pony.

Ever since the first episode, it's been Pinkie Pie.

No matter what episode she's in, she's absolutely hilarious, and is always making me laugh.

 

I also really like Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rarity, all for different reasons. But Pinkie is and likely always will be my favourite pony.

Derpy for sure. She's so cute. her (old) voice was adorable and her (old) eyes were so charming. I really liked since the first time I saw here, everytime I would see her I got excited! The best out of 'The Mane 6' os probably pinkie or rainbow dash. Rainbow dash is simply uncanny, I love her voice the fact she's a pegasis and that she is a major athlete. She is just awesome in every way!

 

I mean the fact that derpy is just so great to begin with and that when you spot her you get a lil sensation. Also she is majorly unique, The (old) eyes and her clumziness make her so silly and relatable. While you don't have her jammed down your throat every episode, but enough to make you get a rush when you see her. (This is from before the infamous change. I judge her by her 'old' traits who knows what she is now.)

I really don't know who my favourite is anymore. I put down Fluttershy, but it's a hard decision between her, Twilight, Rarity and Pinkie... I'm expecting to alter my vote multiple times! XD

 

Certainly says something about the complexity of all the characters. Major props to the writers.

I agree I love Applejack. I think it comes from the fact that a very large part of my life is my work, and like her it's not just something I do because I have to but something I'm truly passionate about even though it's hard and can be stressful sometimes. I still can't think of anything else I would rather be doing with my life and will always come back to it. Not to mention we both seem to be workaholics.

 

I also love how close she is with her family. My family is the single most important thing in my life above everything else and in the end they're always the first and last thing I think about when making any decision.
