Overall all the of ponies (the mane six in particular) are well developed, have personalities in great variety and are detailed and interesting. But Fluttershy is the main reason I watched MLP in the first place. Team Fluttershy!

It was really difficult to decide a winner, but I went with Pinkie Pie as my favorite. For my tertiary ponies I went with Derpy, Lyra and DJ Pon3, because...well because they are awesome.

Tavi and Vinyl are some of the best. I think part of the reason we like background characters so much is because we get to decide part of their personality.

Gotta go with Pinkie Pie. She harks back to my childhood with her antics and she's that one pony that no one seems to listen to even when she knows whats going on.

 

That connects with me, also yeah... randomness is a regular occurance here.

 

Even my gf says that Pinkie's reflects me, right down to the Pinkamena episode.

My mane 6 favorite is Pinkie Pie, her being hyper, randomness always makes me laugh. Applejack is a very close 2nd for me.

 

As for my favorite secondary character is Princess Celestia. I like how she is easygoing for a princess. I also feel kinda sorry for her, she had to decide to send her sister to the moon for 1000 years which had to be tough. I feel like she has her sister, cadence, and the mane 6 has her friends.

 

For my favorite background pony has to be Berry Punch. I love the fact that she is made the drunk pony. I really enjoy drunk characters. I also think her sister Pina Colada/Paradise/Applecore is just adorable.

She's cool, funny, and just really really awesome.

 

As for the best Mane 6, I like Fluttershy best, she's just too cute. ^.^

 

But I'm probably most like Twilight Sparkle. Like her, though I did know people, I never really had any proper friends until just a few years ago. Friendship is still new to me. and you know what? IT'S MAGIC!

I'm also a geek, and I kinda obsess over keeping things in proper order.

It was a decision between Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash for me, but I went for Rainbow Dash instead. It was a tough decision :/

For the Mane 6 it was a toss up between Fluttershy and Rarity. I went for Fluttershy as I knew Rarity was going to be low by the end anyway so just wanted to help Flutters stay above Rainbow.

 

Secondary Char was Easy: Luna

 

Tertiary background char: Don't see why people go so crazy over most from this list. I went with Derpy, Lotus and Aloe though. They seem cute.

Flip a coin between Applejack and Pinkie Pie. I love Pinkie Pie's sense of humor, but Applejack's down home, salt-of-the-earth personality mixes well with my own.

Rainbow Dash...I love you and the other five to death and I know I'm not supposed to pick favorites, but since I can only vote for one...that would be Fluttershy. As though my avatar didn't give it away.

 

Sweetie Belle has emerged as my favorite secondary character because of the great job her voice actress does, even if the squeaks are unintentional. And the mare of 1,000 voices Bon Bon is the best background pony. "I deent poot dos in mae bag!"

I adore Sweetie Belle as well! I think she's the cutest filly out of the cutie mark crusaders - though I think AppleBloom comes a very close second!

My favorite pony out of the Mane Six is Pinky Pie. I just love her jumpy personality. My favorite secondary pony is Big Mac, I find it funny how he barely ever says anything aside from yep or nope except that ONE time when he was yelling at the Crusaders because they got in Diamond Tiara's snobbery. My favorite background pony is Derpy Hooves because she's a derp and I like derp's such as Gummy.

Mane 6: It has to be Rarity! I think she's so utterly hilarious, especially during Lesson Zero. But now I hear Twilight shouting at me for preferring Rarity!

 

Also Doctor Whooves, mainly due the fact I'm a massive Doctor Who fan so I'm probably a little bias on that one.

I must say Twilight Sparkle is my favorite. Why? She's intelligent and very determined. I look up to her completely. She inspires me every day to keep moving foward. I don't know what I would do without her.
