Well, it was a close contest between Rainbow Dash and Applejack (as always) but I sidetracked and chose Pinkie. My life always connects with hers. CMC? Scootaloo. Background pony? Derpy of course!

Rainbow Dash, because, apart from the fact I just think she's got an amazing personality and she has, IMO the best colour scheme, it's also cause I can relate to her unmoving loyalty

Twilight Sparkle. Her earlier self and I are quite alike in many ways.

We are both:

1. Intelligent

2. Anti-social

3. Somewhat like reading. (She's obsessed, but I only read certain books outside of the Science Fiction genre.)

My favorite Pony... That's like asking me, to pick one friend and say they are my favorite.. they are my number 1! 

 

I can't bring myself to pick only one... and how could any one of us.. is beyond me. 

 

but at the end of the day I guess I should pick or try any how.. 

 

My favorite Pony? All of them... because at the end of the day I love them all so much.. Sure I show a bit more love for Princess Celestia and Miss Cheerilee and Sweetie belle, but at the end of the day I still love them all..

I like them all so I did the pony personality test and it said that I'm most like Fluttershy and Twilight. Even though I can relate to them, I like Rainbow dash and her tom boyish attitude. I also like Rarity and Applejack. Pinkie pie is alright too. Dang. For me there is no such thing as a "Favorite" pony.

 

I like all of the mane 6 and I like all of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

I also like Octavia, Trixie, and derpy.

 

Trying to make me choose a favorite is impossible.

I don't mean to sound like a downer or like I'm being demanding or anything, but does anyone else think that the poll should be altered a bit? I don't know exactly how you do that without screwing up people's votes or anything, but it's two years old and a lot of characters have been introduced or phased out. Cadence and Shining Armor, for example, have been pivotal in a few episodes by now. By the same stroke, characters like Sapphire Shores, or Prince Blueblood have had all of, what, one appearance? And that was several years ago? But at the same time, I know that taking those off invalidates some users' votes and would probably be upsetting for them. I dunno about taking away, but if ponies who are very minor to the show are on there, I think that some more recent but more important characters should probably be added as well. And I do realize that changing things now could possibly open things up to get to a ridiculous degree. We don't need every pony who's ever made an appearance ever. So there becomes a problem with line-drawing. But I think there may be a way to compromise or something.

 

Again, I'm not demanding anything. The staff/OP can do as they please. I'm just putting that out there. This is just my two cents.

I love all of the Mane Six. I'm not sure I really have a favorite--my preference depends on the day. I'm really in love with Rarity right now. She's such a lady!

Rarity, followed closely by Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy. I like Rarity for her formal manner of speaking, etiquette, love of cleanliness and attention to minor details (cleaning up the books instead of helping with the tree branch). She's a lady and possibly the most mature of the Mane Six. She's not, however, above her friends (she'll try to make them happy, if she believes she knows better than them), even though she desires to be a part of the upper class in Canterlot; she's cultured, and I'm glad that somepony like her is on the show and presented in a positive light.

 

I like Twilight Sparkle for her love of knowledge and rational explanations, her slight social awkwardness and her organizational skills. She can also be sarcastic at times, but she's usually understanding and supportive; she's not one to boast, either. It's funny to see her lose her mind and go crazy every once in a while, usually because she overworked herself.

 

Fluttershy is very helpful but also, obviously, shy. She too has a breaking point. I love her gentle nature and how she's sometimes unsure of herself, even around her friends.

 

These are my three favorite ponies because I can relate to them the most (I see a part of myself in each of them); also, I think Rarity and Twilight Sparkle have gotten the best "focused on them" episodes, and I'm impressed with how well they're both written. I like each member of the Mane Six, and the three unmentioned ones certainly have traits and personality quirks that I'm fond of or wish I had in a greater degree; I find it very hard to rank one of them last.
