Anyone else think Maud Pie is the funniest character of the show?

I seriously laughed at every line she said, she was so awesome and hilarious xD

 

I just loved her whole attitude and how everyone reacted to it, it was so funny. Who else thought she was hilarious?

Yeah, exactly, she just has that really monotone voice and then her lines are just like "It's a rock." or "It tastes like apples." and it's so funny xD

But if that makes a character funny, then yes, she is among the funniest characters in the show.

She was funny in a cute sort of way. It was great how obsessed she was with rocks.

 

What I love about her is her dedication though. That line near the end was delivered so perfectly: "I don't really like candy. But I do love Pinkie Pie." It really might be one of my favorite lines of the whole series.

I think it was a really good idea to add a character like Maud to the show. The episode was definitely "different" and made for some funny interactions. I liked how the others really didn't know what to make of her, yet Pinkie just acted like she would with anyone else. I like the drier/smart-ass type of humor in the episode.

I still don't know what the reasoning was behind the hide and seek game with the pet rock being in Maud's pocket. If it was there the whole time was she being a jerk intentionally or did she just think it was a funny joke with no bad intent? Or did the rock supposedly jump into her pocket by itself? (Remember the pet rock DID eat the rest of Maud's sandwich while she was chewing on the rock from the muffin basket.)

 

I don't know if I would consider her the single funniest character, but she is for sure one of the funniest to date IMO.

She is probably one of the funniest characters, IMO. I was laughing out loud all the way through the ep (even watched it twice in a row! Which I never do!) I especially loved the part where she says: "it tastes like apples."

She's popular because she's unlike anything this show has seen.  We haven't seen all that much dry or deadpan humor in MLP so having this personality type bounce characters who are normally cheerful and happy delivers a new kind of laugh.  We've all met this person.  Someone who says something and all you can do is try to piece together what you heard in your head while you mutter "Uhh.. well." awkwardly.

Nah. But that's just because I felt every single bit of the uncomfortable feelings in the scenes.

I can never watch stuff that really awkward or embarrassing. At least not without bracing myself. Even if I'm not the one dealing with the situation personally, I can just feel the squirming awkwardness in my spine. Can't stand it.

This... just this. This summarizes my opinions on Maud Pie perfectly. Do I find her to be the funniest character in the show? That's definitely debatable since everyone's definition of funny is different.

 

Maud is definitely up there in my list of funny characters though. Ironically enough, her boring demeanor was what made her funny in the 1st place. If she didn't have any of the mane 6 to work off of though, she would have sank to "rock" bottom (.....sigh that was terrible lol  ).

But I do have to say I enjoyed her dry humor, I completely know what you're talking about though.

Maud Pie was definitely funny. Of quartz, MLP has always been great at introducing characters, I think we were starting to take it for granite. And yet here they bring in another one to capture our attention, it really is a marble of writing. I really hope shale be back in some later episodes, I mean, we all loved Maud Pyrite? Anyways, slate, so I think I'll get going, but I just wanted to offer my opinion, but I pumice to respect all of yours as well.

See I know they were going for dry humor, but again, just something about the way she said her lines was a little too flat to work for me.  Went from being dry humor to boring as a result, at least for me it did.
