How to change my 'Display Name'?

Maybe It's just me, but when I follow the steps people have been posting to change my forum name, I can't because the 'Display Name' option doesn't come up in the side tabs that are in 'My Settings'.  Can someone please help me with this issue?  Thanks in advance.

Click your username on the top right of the page.

 

Click "My Settings"

 

On the left side of the page, click "Display Name".

 

Change it to whatever you'd like and save.

That's a little odd.

 

I'd maybe wait and see what a staff member has to say.

Yeah, I can see that it's missing from your settings, and I can't find anything that would indicate why this is.

 

Please file a support ticket for tech support. This will require more investigation than what can be done with the typical admin tools. Furthermore, PM me with whatever you want to change your name to if you were actually trying to do that, and I'll change it for you.
