I loved Sonic 2, 3& Knuckles, Adventure 1 and 2, Advance 1-3, Heroes, Colors, Generations, and Mania. Despite being never a villain, and she’s at odds with the heroes at times, and other on professional terms at best, this is the first time she directly works with the Sonic Team on her own (not to mention doing so as if she was a regular), and against Robotnik, instead against one of the numerous doomsday villains. I guess Sonic Boom’s extra female spot was popular enough to replicate it in Sonic Prime, but Rouge was the only female character who could possibly be part of the team out of the mainstream games.
