That's not stupid, it's pretty awesome. Personally, I preferred the VA in the Sonic OVA to Jaleel White, a much better fit for Sonic imo.

 

I don't know if I'm gonna read the Boom comic. I mean, I'm excited for the Boom game and show, but I'm not sure about the comic.

 

I used to be into the comics, but I don't read them anymore. Same feelings you have, though!

I have seen that. At a time, I owned Sonic Lost World for the Wii U. A few levels actually made me rage quit, so I don't plan on playing the game again for a good while. I had it before the Zelda level was released, but after the Mario one was out. I really wish I would have got to play the Zelda level, it was something I was really looking forward to.

Nice move, Nintendo. Making one of the best looking Sonic games in a while and it being only exclusive.

 

It's like a huge middle finger to the fandom, lol.

I actually prefer exclusive games to multiplatform. Exclusive games are often built around the specs of the console they are made on so it tends to run better overall than one that has to be dumbed down, then respec'd for another console which kills performance. Especially if a game does something that a console isn't particularly good at which would slow up the framerate or kill graphical power.

This should get things flowing a little, because it's something I don't think has been completely figured out as of yet.

 

Let's talk about Crisis City, why was it in Sonic Generations?

 

Because if you remember the final events of Sonic '06...

 

 

 

We can remember after beating Solaris with Super Sonic, Shadow, and Silver, Elise blew out the flames of Solaris, which caused the events of Sonic '06 to be erased. (Makes you wonder why they made the game to begin with, eh?)

 

 

 

With this being said, it makes one curious why Sonic Generations included Crisis City. One could argue that since the game is an anniversary title, it allows "special permissions" of some sorts. But if you think about it, Sonic actually has to remember these levels for them to be playable, no?

I'm seriously not hyped about the game but I'm excited about the
cartoon. Knuckles steroid did bother me the first time. Other than
that, trailers were awesome and I think this is a great step SEGA is taking on the blue blur.

My father bought an old dusted Genesis in 2004 the only cartridge they sell in the thrift shop was Sonic 3.

I lived in my village at that time so yeah, that's when it began. Once I moved to town, I

downloaded all the genesis games and emulators.
Then, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders and Sonic Adventure DX came
in. After I bought PS3, Sonic Unleashed and Generations came in.

So, Sonic fans, do you read any Sonic fancomics?

 

I've read a few in my time. Ones based on the Sonic series directly, parodies, offshoots...I'll list the few I remember.

 

From The Middleground:

 

Double-U Tee Eff. More of a general gaming comic but has lots of Sonic references...at least before it evolved into it's own thing but it still uses the same characters. It's so good I almost forget it's not a part of the official Sonic universe half the time.

 

Ghosts of the Future. Takes place in a timeline when Sonic finally loses to Eggman and becomes a spirit of Chaos to help the new Chaos user Silver.

 

Not For Resale. General parody/joke comic.

 

Only Fools and Yoshis. Not exactly a Sonic comic but Sonic characters play a big part in it.

Sonic R's soundtrack has always been a soundtrack I loved despite how mich others hated it. I love my cheesy pop songs, with Work it Out being my personal favorite.

I honestly don't know how so many people can hate the Sonic R soundtrack. I've always considered it one of the best in gaming.

Sonic R has a excellent sound track but the controls, also depending on what you use for it, can be a bit hard to get use to. I personally think most of the hate is with the game itself and not the music. If there is any hate for the music, it would be the song typically associated with the infamous Tails Doll curse. Can you feel the Sunshine.

Now I maybe open minded, but I do also detect a major Bullshit alert in the Tails Doll curse. If Tails Doll was trapped in the game to only be released by the player, then why is there a large number of videos of allot of sonic fans playing Sonic R to only be hit by the curse due to being completionists? It's because of the very fact of it's popularity that it's been overblown as a creepypasta, which is all it is, and as a gaming character.

The controls definitely could have used some work. I can't bring myself to 100% the game a second time cuz there's too much difficulty in controlling it.

 

Speaking of Tails Doll...this shit is scary as hell. Even though I've watched it at least a hundred times I'm still scared by it. LOL

I don't actually know much about the origins of the Tails Doll myself. I only know it was in Sonic R in the group of other "doll" characters as well as Adventure when Gamma was shooting them up.

Well the flash was made to be scary. The hyped up Tails Doll curse has brought much fear to the Sonic community.

Well it's not calling bullshit as much on Tails Doll itself, it's more declaring bullshit on the curse. As for his origin, he is only somewhat explained, by fans most likely, as being the answer to the metal version of other characters created by Robotnik (Eggman).
