I'm having the same issue. My notifications don't appear unless I refresh/change the page. I also am still getting the No New Content thing that I recall hearing was a related issue.

I actually had just noticed this. Like everyone else, I'll have to either refresh my page or go to a different one to see my notifications.

Take your time with this though, Staff. We're patient members. ^^

So this notification glitch seems like it just doesn't want to go away. I've had to refresh the page every time I get a notification at the time it happens.

Making an entirely new topic when your old one is still perfectly open and not yet resolved just serves to clutter up the forum section, yo :3 Better to just make a new post in the original thread. Merged.

@, perhaps you can give some physical explanation straight from the Tech Wizard's mouth, as to shed some light on the situation, and perhaps how feasible its' fixing is or isn't, at the moment :3

Just a minor update on my end, it seems to be doing the same for the messages as well. Except I'll have 3 or 4 when it will only show 1, what's up with that? Take your time, Staff! ^^ (\

I took a look at this and should have it fixed now. Tech details below, if you care:

The realtime notifications are a homegrown customization to IP.Board, involving an additional server-side process. We have a program in place that's supposed to keep the notifications process running, but for some reason, it didn't. It appears that it hadn't loaded up its configuration file correctly, so I restarted it - after which it promptly brought the notifications process online. To test that it was working as intended now, I manually killed the notifications process a few times, and it successfully came back in moments. Judging from this, it should continue working seamlessly now as long as the host server does.

I've actually been experiencing this exact problem, alongside another issue; when I click on the notification icon, the box that usually opens up doesn't (I have to right-click it and open it up as a page in a new tab to view my notifications).

I thought the issue might be related to what was brought up in this thread, but apparently not.

I assumed that it might a problem with the browser or with my computer, but I've tried logging in on different browsers and on different computers, and I'm still getting this problem.
