TheSupremeLeaderOfChaos 1,096
In Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, I also thought Double D was a female. I thought he was a VERY tomboyish girl. I mean, Double D was whimpy and all, but the clothing brought me to think he was a tomboyish girl. The way Double D talked got me thinking he was a female. I was very young though, I then realized they would say "he" or "him" or called him an "Edd boy". I realized fast Double D was a boy. ... You know, in hindsight, I think in the back of my mind I knew he was a guy, but I also thought that Double D was a girl. Like... until now I thought Double D was a girl. My childhood is a lie. Seabreeze from MLP. I thought he was a girl as well! I honestly didn't realize until I saw fan-art and read the Episode Follow-Up on EQD. Hmm. I really can't think of any others. Rockymoo 2,136
This little dude right here: Can you blame me? He looks like a flat-chested chick. Slippy Toad's voice had me believing he was a girl, too. Apparently Birdo from the mario franchise is a cross-dressing male. That was kinda weird for me. Le proof. Nintendo goof'd when writing the manual for the '88 version and switched up his name with Ostro's, in case you were wondering. Samus Aran. My first encounter with her was in Super Smash Bros, and I was so confused and dissapointed when I found out my favorite character was a girl! My brother made fun of me to no end for that! I think that was the big reveal in the first game. When she took off that helmet at the end, everyone back then shat their pants.

I've never had that problem with him.Maybe I had thinked on the first seconds of the pilot episode(my first episode),i thinked that "he" could be "she",but when Sarah appeared and his eyes turned into hearts at her,i said "He's a boy :3 "Samus Aran. My first encounter with her was in Super Smash Bros, and I was so confused and dissapointed when I found out my favorite character was a girl! My brother made fun of me to no end for that! When I first played Metroid, for the NES(and my 1st Metroid game),i thinked, like any other guy that she was a guy, but, when i've passed the game for 3rd time, and i had got the best ending,i saw that she was a girl.I was like "LOL?",and then I said "That's the greates girl in the universe!!!"Since that moment, she's one of my favourite characters from a video game(although the can't win Sonic )
Hive King 1,998
@@ErBoi, Well, it was the middle of the night and it was the middle of a badass fight scene when I first saw him, gender pronouns were not my priority
Khaoios 1,968
Well.......if there's one character that took me 5 years to find out "he" was a girl was Samus Aran. I remember playing the first Metroid, but never finished it, until i played and finished Metroid Prime and realized, "Oh my god............its a girl". ReverseFaller 2,478
When I was younger, I always thought blue from blue's clues was a guy, thought that one gorilla in Tarzan was a guy and for some reason, thought Pikachu was a girl. Wait, Blue isn't a guy? Whaaaat?

LonelyCandle 26
Poison from the street fighter series, it turns out she is a transvestite \. I never would have guessed not that there is a problem with that
Geek0zoid 1,467
I actually thought Seabreeze was a girl, along with Miles "Tails" Prower from Sonic the Hedgehog. Isn't it amazing how hard it is to mistake a character at first just by listening to their voice?

Adorkable 2,736
I also thought Kazooie was a male at first, how ironic. ^^" I can't really think of one at this time, but I do know that a common one, including myself, is SeaBreeze from that episode of MLP FiM. ^^
