You heard it from Pinkie Pie herself folks: Read books, become a princess.  I GOTTA READ SOME BOOKS!!! :muffins: *cue dramatic exit*

This episode... holy crap, this episode was funny!  Probably the best written comedic episode we've had all season (at least as far as Mane 6 ensemble episodes go, even though Castle Mania and Power Ponies were hilarious as well, this was just perfect comedy from start to finish!  ^_^).

The road to Pinkiecorn in the S6 finale begins.  If books determine princesshood, Rainbow will probably become a princess at the end of S5.

I liked how they paired each of the mane 6 perfectly. Whereas castle mania was more natural pairing. This episode focused on imo the best pairings and Spike didn't get screwed over. I'm pretty sure the critics will  have a field day on the Rainbow trading fluttershy although she did technically consent

Pretty darn good episode. Not as good as this season's gems like Pinkie Pride, Rarity Takes Manehattan, or Maud Pie, but better than 'It Ain't Easy Being Breezies' or 'Twilight Time'. IMHO, it was worth the wait to see this episode after a week of being deprived of ponies. :D

They probably will though personally Rainbow Dash's actions to redeem her mistake helped fixed that issue in a relatively satisfactory manner in my view.

Whew! At least Spike wasn't the butt monkey in here. Although, he nearly lost that mint-condition comic.

Thank Goodness, 'cause otherwise it would have been like Candace's story from the Phineas and Ferb swap meet episode, "Tri-State Treasure". She did a lot of trading for a rare Ducky Momo collectible, and what happened? Doofenshmirtz's Inator of the Day unknowingly zapped the needed item, making the trader refuse to hand over the collectible. It was Sooooooooo unfair! :(  Candace didn't even try to bust her brothers like she annoyingly attempts to do in most episodes.

Thank you, Mr. Sonneborn for giving Spike a break! ^_^

That was a lot of fun

I'm more excited than ever for the remainder of season 4! Returning to Rainbow falls, speaking of Twilight's princess duties, and the previews about the Equestria Games. Seems they're addressing all these amazing elements in the end ^_^

This is gonna be so awesome

Interesting episode... but I had a couple problems with it.

I can't fathom why Rarity and Applejack wanted such dumb things, for instance... it's almost like they knocked each other in the head before this episode, sheesh. Pinkie was kinda dumb too, her and Twilight's part could have been done much better. The episode also focused a bit too much on Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy for my liking, I understand that they had to make the most trades but there could have been a way better balance of screentime here if the other characters' stories were more interesting here. Spike was also relegated off to the side once again, and overall the episode's lesson was super cheesy. >_>

But you know what? It's really not a bad episode, just a siller one. Two-headed dogs, custom Discord lamps, and a filly that looks like Derpy(and was pointed out for not talking) round out some of the random sight gags here, and those were great. Not to mention that we also got some adorable moments between friends as a result of the episode's cheesiness, which I suppose isn't always a bad thing since this show is no stranger to being cheesy. The resolution was great too- a bit predictable, but great. Powerful friendships are powerful and always will be. ;)

So overall, Trade Ya is definitely not the best episode ever, and while it could have portrayed our favorite characters better and more evenly, it's still pretty funny and a nice ride for the feels. Decent. :)

8/10

So all the friend are invited with spike to this get together were they can trade for other things. So when the get there they all split up into groups.

Pinkie pie and twilight

Rainbow dash and fluttershy

Applejack and ratiy

And spike on his on

So if you this saw the episode spike hardly got screen time which kind of pissed me off.

I want to see all of them to go throught there point of view but no it a " Mane six" episode.:\

But anyway Applejack and ratiy want to put there trade items together so they can get any thing they want but it goes wrong.

Rainbow dash want danger due book if that how you spell it but the woman who tradeing it want this two headed dog but Rainbow dash only has a old horse shoe i am not tell you every little detail.

Twilight wants to sell some of her books pinkie tries help with her crazy ideas which brings a lot of ponys attention but they all lost interest.

So at the end they work out there problems like Rainbow wanted the book so bad see about let fluttershy go with the lady so she can help her train the two headed dog but RD snap out. Of. It

They go home and they all learn there lessons expected spike because he didn't have his own little story.

After math:

Review points: 3/5

To me it like any other Mlp episode in the past were they learn about friend ship.

Tell what you think.

Rainbow Fall Exchange, similar to a swap-meet or even a flea market, now I have been to a swap-meet before in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, so I know how hard it can be to barter, and "Trade Ya" delivered a lot of humour. We get a Daring Do call back, a first addition of one of her books, I have a first addition of "Pelican Brief" and "A Time To Kill", plus some other first addition books that are worth thousands, but I will never part with them, but Rainbow Dash wants that book and sets out to trade other goods to get it, meanwhile, Rarity and Applejack look for rustic items, finally Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle try to sell her old books, now that everypony has a sub plot, the episode commences. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy at last get the Orthros, a two headed dog of Greek mythology, only to have that pony turn against the deal, which is against the rules in a swap-meet, you cannot change the deal, unless you are the costumer, we had this happen to my dad, the swap-meet officials escorted the dealer off the grounds, and gave us all of his goods, it can be that strict. The worst part was that pony wanted to take Fluttershy away to train the Orthros, as she said could take a month, also against the rules, you can only trade materials, produce or animals, not people or rather ponies, so with that Twilight Sparkle as the official she sides with the double dealing pony over Rainbow Dash, but that pony was in the wrong, and should have been punished, however I did find it amusing Pinkie Pie was trying to capitalize on Twilight's princess title, which Disney is guilt of doing more than Hasbro, just watch "Sofia the First" that has very little purpose other than commerce, try watching the show; the blandness is convincing. In the end, however the ponies got what they want, Rarity and Applejack got their antiques, Twilight sold her old books, Fluttershy got her bird call, and Rainbow Dash had her Daring Do book from Twilight, this episode was okay, it was very funny and it shows what can happen at an exchange, personally my family uses gold coins at these exchanges, it can be safer to deal with coinage than an seemingly ordinary item, now I just want to see the Equestria Games commence.

Well, hands down this episode had the best faces of the season.

Also, the guy that had the wheels on his hind legs looked like an OC. I mean, that hair...

Oh, and the culinary skills of Rainbow Dash is now canon. She can now work at a fast food restaurant!

Why does everybody treat her like she is a villain? There were no rules against trading ponies for their services. The only really defined rule was that both ponies needed agree with their exchange. Fluttershy agreed to help the lady train her Orthos and Rainbow Dash wanted the book. technically the one in the wrong was Rainbow Dash for not understanding the implications of her actions. She is just lucky the trader reconsidered and let the trade be reversed.
