Ive been a fan since summer of 2011 before season 2 came out, so I was far from late. 
 

It sure is nice seeing that it still pulls in new fans after all these years though.

My first episode as part of an official part of the fandom was "Games Ponies Play" which, was one week before the Season 3 finale.

I see the first 3 seasons (especially before Magical Mystery Cure) as the early years of MLP:FIM. So, I see you as a (late-in-being-early) Brony.
