Essie looked taken aback by Rising's accusation, but she quickly recomposed herself with his apology. "I know," she nodded "We need to help her, and everypony else." 

Saying this, she leaned in close to Rising, and asked in a hushed tone "So what's the plan?"

She stared expectantly at Rising awaiting his response, eyes twinkling with naive excitement.

"Plan? Ohh, I ..- I have no plan. I don't know what to do anymore. She gives me some kind of help, but now, with her gone ... I-I ..."

 

Rising looks down.

 

"I don't know what to do anymore ... I ... don't even know, where she is ..."

 

Rising starts to sob again.

 

"I can't do this all by myself ... never ever ..."

Essie leant down to Rising, and lifted his head up from his sobbing. 

"It's okay," she said with a confident smile. "I will help you." Essie's voice was deep with nativity, but also full of hope. 

"We can find Stellar together," she continued. "Both of us can." 

She picked Rising up, and patted dirt off his fur, and smiled reassuringly.

"Y-You really want to help me? It's dangerous here ... are you really sure?"

 

Rising slowly stands up. Whyever, he feels a bit better now, with Essie on his side, but still worried, because she is still young.

 

"I really don't want, that any of you get hurted to help me ..."

Essie had already dashed ahead, so she didn't hear Rising's worried words. Instead, she sighed impatiently. 

"C'mon are we going to save Stellar, or not?" 

As the words came out there was a tremor which shook the ground below their hooves. Surprisingly, it did little to dampen Essie's sudden courage. 

"Hurry up Rising!" Essie called "We haven't got all day!"

"Wha-?! Are you crazy?!"

 

Rising directly start following her.

 

"Do you even know, where they are?! Canterlot is big afterall, Essie!"

 

Rising follows her, still unsure about the courage from the filly ... but she is right, he needs to save her, no matter what. No matter what happens.

Essie stopped trotting for a moment. Rising had a point. Canterlot was big, and there was a lot of ground to cover if they hoped to find were all the older mares and stallions, including where they'd taken Stellar.They'd be somewhere big. Somewhere big enough to hold all those ponies, which made the task of finding them easier. Essie mentally began crossing off places which didn't fit the description, until she was left with one. Canterlot Castle. 

 

She looked to the castle with a rising fear, watching as the humongous flames rose high upwards from its pillars. Suddenly, with a explosion of urgency she broke into a canter. Shouting at Rising. 

"Quick we need to hurry Rising, they're in the palace!"

"The palace?! Hold on tight!"

 

Says Rising, start flying and taking her with him. He flies fast to the burning entrance, trying to find a way in. If they are in, probably underground, in the dungeon.

 

"You know any secret way into the Canterlot dungeon under the palace?"

Essie shook her head. "I don't know!" She was beginning to panic now, she'd had a plan all laid out in her head. But it all evaporated when she was actually confronted with the problem at hand. Now, once full of ideas she turned to Rising for guidance. 

"What do we do?" Her eyes were full of confusion.

"We have to find a way in! Look, there is a window in the tower! It's dangerous, we have to get straight trough the burning castle! I better get alone in there ... I can't bring you in a burning castle, Essie ..."

 

He flies to the ground and pull her down.

 

"I wont let you die in there ..."
