What are your "quiet pleasures"?

I like to take walks because it helps me think. I like reading manga/watching anime, but depending on the person I'm quite vocal about that. I like to write, both fanfics and original stories, and I also sometimes write my thoughts into a 'diary' of sorts.

I also have this habit of looking for ancient occult works because I retain the hope of ever discovering actual magic or something. In that same vein, I'm still waiting for a day when I meet a medium who does not employ cold reading.

Lastly, I listen to a lot of music, and I usually don't talk much about that.

I don't really talk about any of my interests, since I feel a bit awkward doing so, and I think it's more interesting to talk about the other person's interests since I can learn a lot more from that.

I guess something most people don't know about me is that I really like history :). I love a good story, and I love learning about other parts of the world too.

I guess flight simming is quiet , or thinking about Swirly :squee:.

Off-topic; get out :umad::P.

Aww :squee:

Get out from what?

Well the first part of your post is saying "I don't want to say my quiet pleasures", which would make your post spam if it weren't for the second part of your post :P.

Stuffed animals. I love stuffed animals. They're just really adorable and fun to have so I mean why not right? x3 But if I ever said that to anyone IRL they'd think I'm even weirder than I already am. x3

Oh and singing too. I'd get even weirder looks, probably laughs, if I told anyone IRL that. I don't think I'm half bad though... :P

I have 3.

-MLP

As much as I love it,I don't tend to like talking about it. That's why I scold my mother every time she brings it up.

-Drawing

I'm a very private person,so when it comes to sketching,I don't really like to talk about with my family.

Nor will I let them see any of my drawings.

-Singing

I sing either in my room,or the bathroom with the fans on.

Masterbating.

That's generally a quiet pleasure, right? I mean, unless you just had a fight with your sugar walls. Then you might turn that porno up. Just to prove a point.

Ain't got to buy your hand dinner, and it doesn't complain about your choice of movies. Hell, you wanna do something special for your hand, you just use the fancy shit. Some tea tree oil up in that mug makes it all tingly and refreshing.

Seriously though?

Lifting. Schedule change recently means hitting the rack a lot earlier though. Usually at my neighborhood gym. Not an issue at midnight. During the evening hours though, Ive been noticing people watching me. That's creepy, flattering, and distracting all at once.

Really not feeling that.

Writing would be one, me and my sister are working together to create this sad story. It has taken almost 2 years but we are nearing completion

and another would be building things in Minecraft and I don't just mean minor things like a house or something easy, I create really impressive things

Reading zombie fiction.  I even read many of the self-published authors on Amazon, and some of them are quite entertaining.  There is nothing like a zombie eating somebody's face to brighten my day.  By the way, does anyone know of any zombie-related MLP fan fiction.  :pinkie:

Dancing.  I was born to dance!  It shall be a quiet pleasure no longer!!1!  There's a fire in my heart, and it says (because heart-fire is surprisingly verbal) I must move my feet to Gradius stage remixes.

Seriously, though: I like to dance.  I can't do it well or properly, but I'll start moving whether there's music or not. x3

Well I usually get out of College at 4 and get home around 6 which then it get's pretty dark, I really don't hide my interests nor my pleasures but I guess what I do enjoy is walking home in the dark when it's all quiet ;-;

I don't know I just reflect upon life :rarity:

What I mean by a quiet pleasure is something that you love to do but don't feel the need to talk about it with people. We all have our things we love to talk to others about and things we love to brag to be a part of at times but sometimes we just have something that we do that we don't feel the need to talk to others about very often even if we like it a lot.

For me it's Spongebob. I probably like Spongebob more than I do any other TV show. As a cartoon enthusiast I love to talk about what shows I watch but in Spongebob's case I just watch the show in blissful quietude and don't really talk about it with many people.

I like waking up really early when I have work so I know i can snuggle back down and catch a few more hours worth of zzz's :D

Maybe it's just me, but "pleasure" always makes things sound just a tad bit dirty.  :P

Learning to play some of my favorite songs I hear in games on my alto sax by ear. I suppose I wouldn't be so quiet about it if the people I'm usually around with my saxophone actually appreciated the music from video games or at least respected it. Oh well, it's incredibly fun either way. Just thinking about it makes me want to start right now.

Singing to myself. I can't let anyone else in my flat hear though, so it really is a quiet pleasure.

My guilty pleasure...? Iv'e been playing Runescape since 2002.

Nice. Runescape was my game of choice for no-lifing on for hours after school.

Normal or RS2007?
