Sekel went to place a hand on her shoulder but he stopped himself and rubbed his head. "Wait. Sorry. We didn't know why you took the knife. That's all sheila." Sekel apologised. He turned back to Ravek and smiled. "You happy you got your knife back now?" Sekel asked. He didn't know if her having her knife back was good or not. "I've got a question. Do you want to see what my upper face looks like?"

"Oh, honey you were just trying to help, you did nothing wrong." Annie looked up at Emi. She took a napkin out of her apron and handed it to Ravek but she paused. She held out the napkin and shook out a bullet casing before cleaning it off and giving it to her again.   

 

Allrich clapped his hands together to get everybodys attention; with a slight twitch of his finger, something clicked within the staircase behind him. The middle of the stairs fell away to reveal elevator doors. He walked over and flashed a badge before a small scanner next to the metal doors and they opened silently. Allrich looked back at them all "Now it's time for the tour."

@@Alex Kennedy, @, Amber was a bit taken aback when the other guy butted in. Still, she was determined not to be shy in front of everyone. This was going to be a better life than she'd had so far, and she wasn't going to hide away in the shadows any more.

 

"I'm from London, in England," she said. "I used to live in the east, but I moved away to the west after things became difficult."

When the professor said they were going on a tour, Nicholas was thankful for the opportunity to avoid any further interaction with the loud newcomer for the time being. On the other hand, it did mean his conversation with Amber was cut short, but it was a tradeoff he could live with.

Sekel sighed and looked at Ravek. "I'll shiw you what my entire face looks like later." Sekel said. He heard the Professor say something about beginning a tour. "A tour? At least we'll finally figure out why we're here." Sekel shrugged. He placed his hands in his pockets and looked at the Professor.

"Cool. I think I used to have a sitter from there." Dan said. In truth, all he remembered was someone with an accent.

He then saw the professor suggest a tour and saw the elevator pop out. "Well that's sketchy. Cool, but sketchy." He said as he got in the elevator.

Ravek took the napkin that Annie gave her, though she didn't really need it, it wasn't like she had a diver's bell or anything. She easily wiped her tears away with her arm, though she was still shaking slightly. The Further was a whirlwind of fear basically, and sometimes she wished others could go with her into the nightmare land so they would understand why she was always terrified,  and possibly why she had gone a little nuts because of it. 
Everyone pretty much leapt at the idea of a tour though, she must have missed out on the tour already with her actually not being there, and she asked Annie that. 
"Annie, I..I think I missed some stuff while I was away, can you catch me up later?"

"Hon, I'm like a den mother in a sorority house. I'll catch you up." Annie got up and stood back to let Ravek get up.

After he ushered everyone into the elevator, which he should have thought over. There was enough room for everybody to be crammed but not squished. Fae found herself between two guys she didn't even know and sighed, adjusting herself. Soon enough though, the doors opened again to reveal a facility of many floors. Allrich stepped forward to let them out "This is my facility. A lot of research is being done here, so you'll encounter scientists..." he motioned around. 

 

"Oh! Now this way is towards R&D...wonderful things! Devices developed to help control powers!" Allrich exclaimed before walking off in excitement.

Nicholas found himself pushed back into a corner and was one of the last people to get out of the elevator. What Allrich said excited him, though. Devices to control his powers? It was like a dream come true. If it worked, anyway. At least, it was something to hope for.

Sekel had been crammed in next to Fae. When the doors opened, he was one of the few people left to walk out of the elevator. He saw twhat the facility looked like and he was impressed. 'R&D? What the hell does R&D mean?' Sekel thought to himself as he followed the Professor.

@@RunsWithSquirlz, Amber felt uncomfortable squashed in among everyone else in the lift. She generally prefered to keep her personal space to herself, and didn't like lifts anyway. She concentrated on breathing in and out, so that she'd stay calm and her powers wouldn't come out. When the lift stopped, she left thankfully. What was R&D? Amber hoped it was something good.

Dan stepped out of the elevator and followed the professor. 'R&D huh?' Dan thought to himself, 'Interesting.' He looked around and saw people he could only assume were the scientists. "I guess you're pretty serious about helping us." Dan said to Allrich, "That or keeping us contained. Either one should be pretty interesting though."

"Of course I want to help you. But I suppose I'll gain your trust soon enough." he replied as he stopped in front of a giant viewing window. Behind the window were scientists busily working and concentrating on multiple projects "This is Research & Development, here we work on a variety of different technologies to contain or alter powers. We try to keep them looking like everyday wearable objects, or weapons if one prefers."

 

They were testing fabric against different elements "We hope to design a fabric flexible but strong enough to be worn as body armor."

 

Fae cocked her hip to the side and looked at all the shiny things in the lab. One scientist was working on a special set of heavy running weights; another shining a laser through a pair or visors.

Sekel raised an eyebrow and took his hood off to see what the scientists were working on more clearly. He looked at the Professor briefly before looking back at the inventions. He had his hands in his pockets. "So R&D stands for Research & Development?" Sekel asked, being a Captain Obvious. He saw that one of the scientists had Geiger counter and the needle was whipping back and forth across the screen even though he wasn't near anything radioactive, or so he thought. Sekel emitted a natural non-lethal radiation ever since he had come into contact with the Uranium from home. "What else are they working on?"

Nicholas looked around at all the strange things being worked on in Research and Development. To be honest, most of it either frightened or confused him, but then, he was never very good with technology. He was really just rather anxious to move on with the tour. If he was going to have to demonstrate his powers at some point, he'd rather just get it over with so he wouldn't have to worry about it anymore.

Dan looked around at all the inventions.he felt like he was in some sort of sci-fi movie. That, or some sort of anime. "Body armor fabric huh? does this mean we get our own costumes?" He asked with enthusiasm. "Because I have a couple of suggestions." He said with a glint in his eye.

"Yes we will have suits. Things might be dangerous so...wait suggestions? Like?" he asked him. They continued on as Allrich showed them different labs and departments before stopping before the doors of the Biology Department. He seemed hesitant.

 

"This is where you will head to for medical needs and physicals. Here you'll report to Dr.Rainier." he clapped his hands together then threw a finger into the air. "Now on to the training rooms to demonstrate your powers."

Jack signed at the mere mention of the word powers. He really didn't want to do this but what choice did he have at this point. He rubbed his temples a bit as he broke out in a cold sweet. He was nervous, tired, and really didn't want to do this. At least he didn't have to worry about shooting anyone with plasma though.

Sekel sighed abd shook his head a he followed the group. He didn't want to demonstarte his powers any more than he should. The things he did back in the parlour was a complete accident. He tried not to feel tense about the upcoming demonstrations though.

Nicholas sighed. If he was going to have to show off his powers, it was better to do it now rather than continue waiting and worrying about them coming out on their own. He just hoped they had a blast-proof testing area somewhere. His powers were especially dangerous indoors.

Amber was frightened by the suggestion of power demonstration. "Are you sure that indoors is best?" she asked, anxiously. "My powers are more suited to outdoors. The place could get damaged or people could get hurt. I'd hate for that to happen again. Have you got anything to make that not happen?"

"Ah, correct. And that's why we are here." he answered Amber.

 

They came to a small shuttle and once they boarded were carted off quietly. It took quite a few minutes of awkward silence until the track brought them outside over a forested valley. Time had passed and it was night now. The shuttle came to a hissing stop and Allrich stepped out.

 

They were in a quarry with the clear night sky and full moon above them.  Some metal plates were embedded in the walls and floodlights lit the area.

 

"We will demonstrate here." he motioned.

Nicholas shook his head to try and clear away any fears about letting loose with his powers. He was going to have to do it eventually one way or another. "So, do we just... fire away? Should we take turns or something? I guess I can go first. I'd rather just have it done with, if that's okay with you."

"Please do, Nicholas. I would love to see your powers in action if you don't mind." Allrich said happily and motioned towards the middle of the quarry. He and Jin tensed, ready to jump in the case of emergency. Professor Allrich had faith in Nicholas; he was just afraid Nicholas didn't have faith in himself.

Nicholas nodded and stepped forward. "Alright. Everybody stand back. And maybe get ready to shield your eyes. I imagine there'll be quite a bit of dust in the air, if nothing else." He closed his eyes and focused on the area in front of him. He slowly raised his hand, and the area erupted in a large explosion. He took a deep breath. "There. That's what I can do."
