I play guitar, in the genre of Metal pretty much exclusively. I'm in a serious metal band, which I won't name right here ;)

Being a brony and guitarist are my two greatest passions. I also build electric guitars as a hobby (well, will be), I've been to 2 Pony conventions in Australia, and I'm looking to go to a U.S convention in the future.

  1. Merry Birthiversary!

  2. In the spirit of Friendship Is Magic, I was wondering if anyone here has some stories about friendship that they're fond of, and if they would share it. For example, I have one that I'm very fond of telling. It's about how I met one of my best mates, the strangest but nicest friend I've ever had: He came to the same school as me in grade 11, one day. He seemed a bit quiet at first, and then we got on really well, and I found out that he had a weird but awesome sense of humour. He eventually told me that he got expelled from this other school, which is why he came to mine. I won't go into detail about how he got expelled, but by Celestia's light, it is an expelled-from-school story that I could almost guarantee would put any you have heard to shame. It was a prank that he and his friend did that spiralled out of control, and RUINED the honeymoon of a couple from overseas, to the point where they had to spend a week in quarantine before they could go home. Yeah, that bad. They got in trouble with the police, and my mate got expelled. He said that he's never been so ashamed in his life. He's not a bad guy, he's super cool, but yeah that was his biggest mistake ever. So he's crashing at my place for the night one time, and he said "but dude, if I had the opportunity to go back and stop myself from doing it, I wouldn't take it. I would let myself do it." So I said "…I dunno, it was pretty bad, dude." "No dude, honestly I would let myself do it. For one simple reason. And do you what that reason is?" "…'Cause that's how you met me?" "'Cause that's how I met you."
  3. I SWEAR I remember hearing that Britt McKillip, who voiced Princess Cadence, has a daughter named Cadence who (this blew my mind) is the singing voice for Cadence. I can't remember where I heard that, I've been trying to look it up, but I remember hearing that somewhere.
  4. It has for me a little. It reminds me of ways to be a good friend through simple lessons that I otherwise could possibly forget in the fog of complicated relationships and cynicism. Indirectly, it's given me thicker skin. I thought being a metalhead had a lot of hurtful criticism, inside and outside. But being a brony is the first thing I've had to really stand up and defend on my own, where even my friends and parents questioned it.
  5. I've been to PonyCon AU, which is the only convention in Australia. I've been there this year and last year, made a whole bunch of friends, met some of the show voice actors and writers, bought a ton of awesome merch, had the time of my life. I hope to attend a U.S convention one day.
  6. A couple of years ago I remember talking to a friend of a friend, and mentioned that I watch MLP. He said that he's seen seasons 1 and 2, but doesn't want to consider himself a Brony because he thought "that is one intense fandom." So there are people out there who 'just watch the show' in my experience, but I'm guessing many who just watch the show aren't as active on forums, maybe. Haven't talked to that guy since, though. You never know, he could be rolling in merch by now. Either way, it's fine.
  7. I'll just state that I haven't really seen any other generation of MLP, other than that Bronies React to G3 video and various other little snips from different generations. So, I couldn't give a conclusive opinion. I can tell I would more than likely not like them, and I'll poke fun at them for the sake of fun and games, but I won't judge anyone who does like previous generations. In fact I'd think it's cool, in a 'respect the classics' kind of way. I'm not implying that Newborn Cuties was exactly a classic, but you know what I mean.
  8. It's so weird how this episode aired now, because it solidifies something I reminded myself of recently. That you don't have to have the enormous power and influence of something like McDonalds to make a nice difference to the world. An important message to remind yourself nowadays, where the whole world seems to constantly make you feel that your small and unimportant.
  9. I really dig this episode! Rarity reminds me of my mum a lot and I always tell her that. This episode makes her seem more like her than ever, and it is so tempting to show her this episode.
  10. I don't think it's likely that they will go past a season 6 and a movie after that season. That's usually what happens, anyway. Unless you're like the Simpsons, Family Guy or South Park or something like that. But if I'm wrong, then praise Celestia!
  11. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/258209/once-monsters SunDagio. I am NOT into fanfic in general, at least not until recently. I am much less into shipping, but dammit this fic had me! Gripping and very well written. It's the third in a VERY decent series by SkycatcherEQ about Sunset Shimmer and the Sirens after Rainbow Rocks. The only reason I started reading it is because I am a massive fan of Rainbow Rocks and was fascinated by the concept of the Sirens adapting to a new life, and this is a very nice take on it. There is a part where I was like "…OH NO, where is this going?" But it didn't stretch too far
  12. Well, there are many places you could put it where you can either hide or show it. You could have it on your back, shoulders or upper arms which are easy to cover with clothes, depending on what you usually wear, of course. Somewhere on your torso would be even easier to cover, though keep in mind the ribs are one of the more painful parts to get inked, generally. You could even put it on your calves or ankles. I found these online:
