  1. This episode is actually quite relatable for me. Again, it reinforces the fact that nopony, not even the ruler's protege and Princess of Friendship, is perfect, although the actual interactions/dialogue etc. don't quite accurately reflect reality (of course, you have to simplify some things for kids, who are, after all, the intended audience to begin with). I'd like to think that Equestria is a somewhat more idealistic depiction of Earth, though it is definitely not a utopia. It's simply a more savoury society where true kindness and friendship exists in greater abundance than it does here. I liked how Moondancer acts as an image of what Twilight would've become if she hadn't been called to make friends in Ponyville. The similar mane/tail style particulary reflects this well. Great episode in my opinion.
  2. Well, another episode showing Spike's tendency to abuse any power, however small, he obtains. I'm quite sure we've seen enough of this theme of greed before...no wonder people don't usually rank Spike high up in their 'best pony' list - he lacks character and whatever traits he has seem to be bad as a whole...
  3. 'Let the rainbow remind you' was actually rather nice. It nicely fitted the ending in my opinion.
  4. I don't really care about Twilicorn as a whole. It's not something that will completely crush the fandom nor make it better.
  5. Nice episode, with all the emotional aspects and such. I personally enjoyed the song - I found it to be the best of the S5 ones so far. However, one thing which bugs me a little is Rainbow's failure to claim responsibility for the damage caused - I mean, she did wreck the entire factory. Maybe this is dealt with after the events shown in the episode...I don't know.
  6. I'm actually more interested in that the writers have begun to touch upon the subject of death in S5. First Tank, then the one-eyed monster's skull. Who knows what might happen later?
  7. Surprisingly there seem to be fewer polarised opinions toward this episode than I had anticipated. I thought people would either hate it or love it judging from youtube comments on the teasers, but I've been pleasantly surprised, It's great to see people being able to appreciate certain aspects of an episode while pointing out a few things which they didn't particularly enjoy in a civilised manner. I'm just glad the MLP fandom hasn't been ruined by any potential destruction of fanon in this episode.
