Physical Description
Inkwell is a white pony whose stature is somewhat androgynous. They are not as tall or bulky as a stallion nor as short or petite as a mare. Their mane is black with traces of gold illuminating their tips and in small streaks. It glitters somewhat and said streaks are somewhat akin to tinsel. Their fur is also stained in shades of black or grey, with their wings and hooves holding a gradient from their white coat to inky black. While their wings are natural, their hooves are a result of several rounds of handling ink and never properly washing it off in time.
They wear a turtleneck to avoid any worse staining of their coat. Adding on, they have glasses that efficiently hide their eyes, which are a pale yellow. The glasses are godsent to them, as it helps both avoid eye contact and hide those eye bags.
Their cutie mark is that of a fountain pen, representing their penmanship and ability to create portraits efficiently out of ink.

Backstory
Golden Leaf "GL" Inkwell, or simply just Inkwell or Ink, is from a small family of pegasi who lived in a rather far away cloud village, one that resides above a body of water. Their family consists of their mom, dad, sister, and brother, all of which who still live in that cloud village. It was a quiet and simple town, much to Ink's delight. Though, they've constantly felt out of place in this village, mainly due to their family.
Their family's cutie marks were all very "business" based. Their dad, brother, and sister, all had technology-based talents, and found their place in helping this village grow, while their mom handled much of the organization of the projects in the village. They had tried to go along with their family, after all, it'd be strange for someone of the Inkwell family to avoid progress. But they never properly fit in this life.
One day, after one of their portraits had reached outside of the village thanks to a tourist, they received notoriety for their work and an opportunity to succeed. Ink was oblivious to this at first, but after receiving a letter inviting them to partake in one of Ponyville's art walks, they were ecstatic.
That wasn't exactly the reason they ended up leaving, though. Their parents didn't take too kindly to how giddy Inkwell was about the news, let alone the fact they even sold their artwork. They ended up missing this event, leading to a few more years of sulking.
What finally gave them that ticket to freedom though, was a letter regarding work at the Weather Factory. Ink wasn't entirely sure who had sent it, as the sender was anonymous - it didn't even come from the factory itself, and instead offered to simply talk to Ink for a job opportunity. Talk about sketchy. But they didn't let this opportunity slip. In explaining (and maybe a bit of lying,) this to their family, they accept the fact that Ink maybe had place elsewhere, and allowed them to leave for Cloudsdale.
To make a long story short, the letter wasn't exactly too sketchy after all. After a brief interview in a separate office, Ink began work at the Weather Factory, while simultaneously working to gain a reputation for their art. A few more years pass along with thousands more portraits made, they became known for their style of work, and gained opportunities to paint for larger events, such as celebrity visits in Ponyville. What's more is they're known instead for their brush, not their face. A hidden painter known for their work is something Ink only dreamed of. I mean, hey, anything to avoid socializing. Eventually, they'll call home and tell them everything. Soon. Maybe!

Key Moments
- Of course, earning their cutie mark. Maybe back then they were excited to be unique, in adulthood it was another story for a while.
- Breaking many records in their village regarding flight. They're not very athletic, but they take pride in the fact they were the quickest and trickiest flier at home. Though, can't say that says a lot for a village.
- The first day of work at the Weather Factory was a doozy, talk about embarrassing. They don't talk about it much. This pretty much solidified their lack of socialization.
- Painting for Princess Twilight on the anniversary of her coronation was probably their biggest moment yet. She didn't even talk to the princess, but by then they felt the finally made it.

Personality
Ink is a bit of a hikkomori. Though their personality depends on who they're around, such as close friends or acquaintances.
Important things to note are the fact that they're quiet, anti-social, and frankly, a little bit dense. Social cues aren't great in this one. with friends, though, they're upbeat and try to be entertaining.
In formal situations, they never speak loudly if speaking at all, and try their best to be polite. They are incredibly socially anxious. One public screw up and they'll probably stay quiet for the rest of the outing. Unfortunately, their clumsiness doesn't help this problem. They can count too many moments where they've run into or knocked over several things. Needless to say, a bit of a clutz.
Around their friends, however, they're rather hyper and sassy, not to mention nerdy. If their friends will lend them an ear, they'll talk nonstop about some kids show they watched this weekend, or some comic they're obsessing over. In normal conversation, they can try to be funny by stating random out-of-pocket things in a passive voice. Their tone as a whole is a bit more upbeat. Sometimes they also just like to be annoying, like breathing down necks on purpose just to get a reaction. It really is a matter of how comfy they are.
In terms of things like danger, though, it's in them to jump headfirst into it without thinking. Their hooves move faster than their brain practically all the time, so the adrenaline never helps. They can hold themselves okay in a fight, but will aim mainly for dodging, since they're probably trying to run away.
