• Physical Description

  Alicorn filly with a regal black coat, rich purple mane and tail, and dragon-like eyes with turquoise irises and lighter turquoise "whites".

• Backstory

  Nyx is the result of an incomplete ritual to recreate Nightmare Moon. Created instead as a filly, she is taken in by Twilight Sparkle, disguised, cared for, and eventually adopted. When the cult that created her eventually finds her and completes the ritual, restoring her to her former glory as Nightmare Moon, a dissatisfaction with her new life as well as her time spent as Nyx helps her find her way back to the light. With Luna's help, Nyx is restored to her former self and returns to live with her adoptive mother, Twilight.
